The trailer hook ups look like they would work good for DC.Show me more where the power is connected.Show me where the wires are fed to the power pack for DC and what you would do to connect them to DCC.I think your getting somewhere with this.

What is the current state of your layout? Is it already set to work with the dual DC powerpack you mention in one of your previous messages? Does it have block wiring already installed?

It's not wired at all yet. I have been laying track, with sideings. I have two sets of track because I want to run two trains at once weather it be DC or DCC.I know how to wire each, but need to know how to cut power off to one while I use the other.

I was just surfing the internet and found the perfect site for my question. It explains perfectly what I need to do to run DC and shut it off and then run DCC.Only one question remains. My power pack has Cab A and cab B, it did not show how to wire these separate so both DC trains don't run at the same time. The diagram I found shows clearly a DPDT switch.

Not having the diagram in front of me....You will need to put a DPDT switch between your DC pack, and the switch that will be wired to the track. The two sets of wires from your DC pack will go to the outside terminals of this "in between" switch, and the output from this switch will go to one set of outside terminals of the second DPDT switch. The other set of outside terminals on the second switch will be wired to the DCC pack, and its output to the track....Hope this helps....

Just like you would put it in an email - copy the address of the web page (from the bar at the top)(right click, select "copy"), then right click in the box you are typing your post in (right click, select "paste"), then hit enter.

Feel free to ask questions as I don't always explain real well.
