I second Boilerman's opinion...!!!! Love that ramshackle shack. Got to try my hand at something like that...!!!
I find it harder than building a regular structure as they never turn out quite like I invision them when I start, they just kinda evolve.
Thanks , Mike

Remember...it's for fun!
Mike,

That dime in the picture really emphasizes your skill in creating that nifty little ramshackle building in such a small scale!

Here is what I was finally able to do (railroad related) today. The Glacier Gravel Building is built stock , I am just bashing the conveyors. Got to move to the other side now. You will not see the backside from the layout front , just the rear conveyor.

I removed two photographs from your post as they weren't applicable to my question, which is: How did you simulate the rust streaks on the concrete beneath the metal portions of the building? I have several buildings I will be assembling and would like to duplicate that effect. I also have Walther's 130' turntable and would like to simulate rust streaks flowing down into the pit from the section of rails that abut the turntable.

BTW, you're doing a fantastic job from everything I've seen in this topic.

I used a good Artist's 4 OOOO brush and Poly Scale Rust (slightly watered down) and a final wash of cheap Black Acrylic.
Thanks , Mike

Gus , Thanks for asking . Some are about 200 miles north and some are about 75 miles east. We have had colm winds so they may be getting them under control.

Trailer Trash

Well , I finally got around to putting the Trailers in place in Valle Rojo. Bet they get sick of all the dust from the gravel plant and the trains going by all the time. Oh well thats why the rent is low!

Trailerpark looks great! I am always sad to see people having to live in a trailer park that doesn't have any pavement, but as you said the the rent is cheap!:) Great job!:thumb:

All the roofs (rooves?) look good, but especially the torch down. I can actually hear one of the wives saying "If we have to live in a trailer, at least I can have purple trim."
