Morning. Garden and wife's flowers looking "tall". .4 inches of rain and all soaked in. More today. Cloudy and spitting now. Back for a short break. Then off to meetings. ACE and stores 10 miles each way are great. This one was but new owner would not stock right. Hope all have a great day. God bless.

Jeffery great weathering job on The PRR loco:thumb: always look forword to the pics you post:mrgreen:

At Kroger in Grovetucky(Grove City) they had no grits but they had corn mush:shock:

Chief we have an Ace in our area but they have not much variaty.

I use Sutherlands for lumber and Obetz hardware for hard to find unuseal things that most places would have no idea what you are talking about. Obetz is the only place in Columbus that still sells chicken feed and chicken grit(not to be confused with grits)that I know of.sign1

I can't take credit for the weathering job. That was done by the previous owner.

There was a five alarm called in today. Some blooming idiot decided to torch a big pile of leaves then take off on a beer run. He came close to burning six homes. Talk about stupid!

Jeffrey, it looks too nice to be PARKED! That baby wants to be out running your mainline - can't you feel it! Steeeeeeaaaaammmmm, Baby! sign1

Glad you were able to put out that fire - some people don't have any sense at all.

I was going to play with Thomas some more tonight, but wife and son are out and so I'm watching Son of Godzilla with my daughter. It's one of those traditions. We are big Kaiju fans and the rest of the family are not. The old G films are best for us, the cheesier the better. I might get down there tomorrow night? Plus, I was going to take some pictures.

I was telling a buddy at work about running the trains real slow, coupling up and uncoupling the General, etc. He wants to come over and check it out :thumb: He didn't know that they had Thomas books -- his daughter got a wooden train set and some cars from a garage sale find (she's about 2) and just loves them.

I had pancakes for breakfast yesterday - yummy.

We have a couple good lumber stores/yards around here, but I usually just grab something at Home Depot or Lowes, because they are so close. If I want really nice wood, though, I would go elsewhere. We have a decent little Ace Hardware, but I think they are hurting due to the HD and L big-box stores. OTOH, they carry a lot of the older stuff and odd bits and pieces you need that HD and L do not carry.

Hey Doug - how about a pic of your brake car???

Brutus, I finally took the plunge on an opportunity. I had gone to ToysRus to get some supplies for a mother in need through our church's outreach program. When I walked in, they had a sign, "One Wii Available", I went in and picked up the ticket. Got information on the extras I need for it and a few games. Picked up Call of Duty 3 and Lego Star Wars. We have already played the Star Wars.

When I got home today, I received the "How To Build Realistic Layouts 4" from Kalmbach. Upon a quick glance, I am impressed and will be able to use many of the tips to scenic my foamboard prairie.

Got an early morning with a big case, so I will check off for now. Y'all have a great night.
God Bless,
Dennis

Wow. Home finally. Nice 14oz NY Strip steak followed by a slice of key line pie and a big cup of coffee. Ate too much. Well, we did it. First town in Wake Co to help buy school property. Big news. Hope slower day tomorrow. Town Board tomorrow night but going to try to avoid everything else. Suppose to be cloudy and 60 [chilly for us now] and spit rain. Time to hit the recliner and rest. God bless.

Hey RT - good to talk, keep me posted!

Dennis, those Wii's are very cool! My boy loves his. He has Super Mario Galaxy, which is supposed to be the big game right now and also Tomb Raider, which is a redo of the original pc game for Wii - with updated tools and stuff.

Sounds like a great deal, Chief - we had temps in the 70's here and supposed to be warm until this weekend when we go camping and a cool spell hits. Storms through the week, though.

EVENING ALL
The weathers been great here for this time of the year, so I enjoy each one as it can change fast. 72 today and 76 tomorrow, but cooler for the weekend. Got a Williams and a Weaver catalog today, a few Williams prices went up, but not much or very many. A new listing is a pink GG1 with matching madison cars. The pink cars were offered once but not as a set. Have a safe tomorrow. S.J.

GOOD MORNING
Brutus won't read this till tonite but RT is correct. Williams offered two girls sets with the same freight cars. One w/steam and one w/GG1 engine.Right after the sets were released Williams offered a limited amount of pink Madison type cars that matched the GG1. Many people did not even know about them till their release and most were presold. The new offering is a set w/pink GG1 and four Madison type cars@ $499.95.
We have a sunny start today going to 70s, I was noticing the grass is getting close to needing a cut and the mirror says I need one two. So off I will go this morn..Everyone enjoy this day,,,,S.J.

A quick good morning. Have to deal with the aftermath of a phoned-in bomb threat that evac'd a few buildings last eve. Ah well. I wanna Wii too - they seen to be slowly more available I've noticed but still at a huge premium.

Good morning folks

Temperature was a cool 54 F this morning. High should be near 70 F.

Not much happened yesterday. We had a small family birthday party for my son. He got to open his presents from the family. His big party with his friends is on Saturday. Speaking of the Wii most of my son’s presents were for the Wii. He got three games, and a charger for the remotes. I will have to say that I am impressed with the Wii and how easy it is to use.

No modeling last night. I had to work on some Cub Scout stuff to get ready for the Pack Meeting tomorrow night.

I hope everybody has a good day.
