Well friends!

One more model of my collection Star Trek in the scale 1/1700, this time a klingon ship of the game Starfleet Command II the medium cruiser Bloodwing. This model was made by Shiftdel and it is excellent with a great construction engineering. The original is in the scale 1/1000 but I reduced for 1/1700 and I increased a small display...

WOW!!! Great build again Gomidefilho!! It's the first build that I saw of this ship, and you even scaled it down!! Congratulations for another excellent build.

I don't know how I missed this, but that's pretty impressive. Was this in a video game, or on screen? I'm not familiar with this design.

starfleet command 2 pc game joe. good game and was the best ship to do battle with in the game :thumb:

I think I had all the Starfleet Command games and the Klingon game, but I always played with the Refit, the Dreadnought, or the D-7. I'll have to load that up and play it again. I liked the tactical parts of that series of games.

What file types are those files? Was that made straight from the game mesh?

Maybe I can help you!?
here is the Homepage with the meshes from the game and some schematics (but no scale sizes)!!!

www.STARYARDS.com

cheers

That site is not exactly of SF Command 2 meshes, they have ships converted to the game format, and some of the game ships themselves, as the Bloodwing, a original design by Cleeve (the owner of that site, if I'm not wrong) done for SFC 2 Orion Pirates game, not sure if it was also shown on SFC 2.

There are a lot of canon designs as well some original ones from Cleeve. I'm going to convert most of his stuff to paper model, as he gave me his authorization to do so :D

Bloodwing is a "X" series ship, so it will only shown late in the campain (not sure if you can use it at instant action, probably yes for a later era).

The original file was a game file (.MOD) converted by a more workable format using milkshape3D, so I could clean all overlapping parts and simplify some other complex parts to make it buildable.

It is straight from the game mesh, although on the readme file, Cleeve stated that the game staff chose to change his original texture. I didn't compare them, but I kept Cleeve texture, as it looks good enough for me.

It's a sharp model. I used to have a mod viewer, may still have it, some where. I had Milkshape too. At one time I was going to try my hand at modding for Elite Force, but as life would have it I got bogged down with real life.

You should do more from that game. I Dl'd the Daedelus, the D-7, the Dread and a couple of Refit era ships. I'll have to take time and play SSFCII and III again.

No sure, but probably will be the Kleeve (http://forum.zealot.com/t155087-2/), as it is a kitbash of the Bloodwing, sharing some parts with it.

I'm still working on a Romulan ship, a Federation Carrier, the Klingon Kvek, and a highly detailed Cardassian Galor class.

I don't started yet, but I will work on another of Cleeve's models, the Soulwolf too.

Very cool. Have you thought of doing some of the Spacestations as well. The more I look at these games, the more I realize that the possibilities are endless. Besides the in-game ships there are a heck of a lot of mods with other ships, stations and kitbashes.

Spacestations? Not sure, maybe just the smaller ones, as the Federation space station (the coolest one!!) would be too big to build, even at 1/2500: 152 cm, almost 5 foot, and this is just the diameter!!

And yeah, the possibilities are endless, there are a lot of cool canon and non-canon ships designed for SFC games, much of them high quality ones, so there are plenty of room for buildings and kitbashing.

Pericles inspired me this model to also build! it is also in 1/1700, but more brightly! some parts I corrected, so that they are to be built better and more easily! the nacelles wasn´t correct!!! but it is a cool model:thumb: I want more of this stuff from you, shiftel:twisted:

here are pics with scale cubes (the smallest part is approx 1 cm "big"):
