Good morning folks

It was a chilly 41 F as I headed out the door today. It is supposed to go up to 55 F. I just wonder if we will see that strange bright orange ball in the sky that some folks have claimed to have seen.

Tonight is one of those nights where you wish there were three of you. My son has a practice baseball game, my daughter has a softball practice halfway across the township at the same time. On top of that my wife and I are supposed to go to the Cub Scout Roundtable tonight to make sure several of our Den Leaders make it there and know where to go for some training they need.

No modeling last night.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Sir James: Great news you're still here! I expected you to be packing for the left coast or AZ after this year's snow.

Spankybird: Great trains!

Chief: Sorry to hear about Sheriff. Hope they decide to take care of him.

Beds cleaned out..last minute yardwork and gutter cleaning before the rains. Hopefully some work on the trains. Been reading and doing tutorials on the CAB-1. This remote thing really sucks you in. My 3-yo and I are ready for the Mini-Commander, but I'm not sure my Bride is.

Morning all. Tom, I am v. jealous of that Type 25 - is it really three-rail? Looks like a Hornsby unit. Glad that Sir James is peeking out again from over the mounds of snow in Michigan. ;) Long day today with class tonight. Just about set for the bride's birthday this weekend. After I got her some gifts, now she tells me what she'd like - LOL. Hang in there, PRR. It gets better.

Morning all. Cloudy and damp. Sir J, we might need yuor sunshine. Really glad to finally get the rain. Busy day. Meeting before lunch, Dr's apt in afternoon and then Grand Opening at RBC [no Dennis, State Employees CU is the Fat Cat thing]. Frankie spent $600 yesterday at vets. I feel Sheriff is doing better as he is now eating food. Got lots of pills they are giving him. Frankie says he is drinking a lot of water. Not throwing up so he should get better. $600 is tough on yung couple moving into new house. Hope the old one sells soon for him. Got to run. Have a good one. God bless all.

Good Afternoon! We are getting ready for yet another emergency. They usually come in threes, but I think we are getting into 10s now. Lots of action to keep me out of trouble, yet also keep me from trains.
Chief, glad you didn't have to put the suit on again...so embarassing... I know, the kids loved it and who could say no to that.
Y'all have a good day.

Well, glad to say that today went better than usual...CNWman brought in a 50-year-old piece of O-scale rolling stock (a Payroll car, I think). It was a kit, and still unbuilt, but only 2000 were ever made. He was going to get help from one of the teachers building it...no idea what he's going to do with it after that-he models in HO. I guess he'll just display it somewhere.

75 degrees and not the least bit cloudy, with a slight chance of hamburgers and fruit salad into the evening. Gotta love a good dinner forecast.

Greetings from the Heartlands where it is very soggy with no relief in sight. We are stuck in another rain cycle and haven't seen the sun for several days, farmers are anxious to get in the fields but the soil temps are still too cold for planting, hope this changes soon. The guys always end up with bumper crops but this rain makes me feel like we are living in Seattle. Our furnace is still on, where the heck is spring wall1

I've been on the road working with schools and supporting Patriot Guard Missions, so sad to see a young man come home on that charted jet in a casket... still breaks my heart but I keep going to honor our fallen hero's and their families.

Good Evening...........
Beautiful day in downtown, rural Ohio. Sunny all day and almost 80 degrees. Now, they are saying, we may have snow, again, by this weekend. That's some crazy weather.
Busy today. No train time. I see some in the next few days. Thinking about putting an ERR sound system in my Trainmaster. I will run it on a conventional system.

:thumb: Way to go CSX! Big Congrats on that weight loss - 100 pounds!!! :thumb:

Sheeesh, guys - I figured you were using your teleporters to have Scotty beam you over -- that's what I do! Didn't Steve King have a story about some lady who found a short cut and ended up passing through an alternate dimension or something? CSX?

Hope that Sherrif is okay, Chief :-(

Nice pics Jeffrey and Spankybird. Man, those standard gauge trains were sure something special! One day I want a big loop of that around my play room, maybe like Don did?

Son has a band concert tomorrow, so probably be on late if possible at all. TTFN

The optifast diet is a sure bet for weight loss if you have a nutrion center that offers it(it is a medical weight loss drink) the deal is to burn more calories then you take in in a day so you either have to eat less or exercise more or in my case bothwall1 The nutrionist I see says to maintain your weight at the desired level you need to take in 10 caliores per pound per day so when I reach my goal of 258 I will be allowed 2580 caliores per day:cool: I have already went form a 56 wasit down to a 44 and they are even getting to big. The diet fixes the weight in the short term and the support group/class fixes the mindset about food.

and I will get the pics up in a few days as well as the bench work pics:thumb:

Spanky and cnw: The class 20 can't be a Hornby. Hornby were out of the O gauge business by 1957 (when it was introduced) and the detail on the nd suggests mid-70s.
Notes: when built the locos had classification lamps and disks on the end -- one at top and 3 along the bottom. (2 lamps just visible on the steam loco in one picture) These told which class train it was (Express, local, loose goods etc.) This was replaced by a box with the train code in it (number, letter, 2 numbers, first number was class). With computerization, this was dispensed with and the box eventually had 2 lights in it.
Other clue is blue paint job -- not til mid 60s.
So who?
