Shinkasen turning radius?

I've got the Kato version. It'll take 9-3/4 but it looks funny. 11" is a lot better. Obviously, the bigger the radius the better. I don't have a clue what the recommended radius is.

I'd think a Shinkasen would be the one model where you push the throttle knob all the way to max in order to be prototypical

Which of the KATO models do you have?

a little research shows they reccommend 315mm (12-3/8") track for units like the Nozomi 500.
