CSXect: Sorry to hear about the lack of job prospects. I'll keep you in my prayers. After getting yourself back into shape, maybe you should look into modeling!

Kurt
Modeling?!? I am allready an arm chair modeler in several scalessign1 I do not photograph very well. There are pleanty jobs out there still but this one is one I am comfortable with as it is low stress and good crew to work with which is always a plus. They have bid on a few jobs and are waiting to see if they come thru. I will have to polish up the old resume soon just in case :nope:

What was you ISO and shutter speed on that last shot? I think I might try something like that tonight once it's totally dark in the train room. Thanks.

The Chief is right,I haven't been warm since Halloween. Sunny today but only in the 30s, did some grocery shopping today, Our grandsons have no school this week so granny is there during the day. Better her there than the kids here. Well you know, its because they have their playthings at home.right. CTT arrived today but I only thumbed it,I did see pg21,& 39,funny both items are on odd pages, also noticed a nice car wash on pg 53. Good nite Chewy,,,,S.J.

Howdy Marcie. Cold and damp. Wrapped up wife's peach tree with big tarp. It is full of blooms and might frost. Then 75 by Sat.

Another busy day tomorrow. Congressman coming to give check to Roseyville Fire Dept. Then to a Time Warner luncheon. Too many free meals. Make the Mayor fat. Later

ISO was 400. The camera was set for night photography with the flash off and exposure time was half a second. Have fun.

Nice pics, Jeffrey. Just got scout update from wife and watching 2.5 men on dvr LOL. I loved Prairie Home Companion on the radio years ago, but haven't kept up with Keillor. His best ever story about Lake Woebegone was the Tomato Butt story! Sorry guys, just ran out of steam. Got new CTT to read and need to get some banilla (on my way) - TTFN!

Morning!

Picked up Kalambach Model Builder book. A synopsys of the Model Builder Magazine Series. Interesting book, and magazine...I may start looking for some of these. The book has some nice layout ideas, and plans for scratch built cars, and a water tower, and photos from inside the Lionel plant. I think a water tower and some cars may be in my future.

Good Morning...........
It's a frosty 26 degrees. Sun is out. Going up to 52 today with some sunshine. Come on Spring.
Today is a busy day. Taking dog to groomer. He needs a haircut bad. A few chores around the house. Been watching the Spring training ball games from Florida. Indians are doing pretty good. I'll be glad when the Season starts. Game every day.
No time for trains today. Need to run them.
Thanks, LAZ. Buckeye needs to make those portals.
Dining car is here and it's time for breakfast.
Everyone have a nice day,
Chuck

Good morning folks

Spring, huh!? It was 32 F with a wind chill this morning on the way to work. It is supposed to get up to 53 F. Now they are calling for a chance of rain for the rest of the week.

I continued inputting my rolling stock into computer inventory. I finished the tank cars and covered hoppers. I even found a few more open hoppers that I had forgotten about.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all! Oh what a day brings! As some know, I vented on some things that just needed sayingannounce1. Perhaps it was not the most appropriate format, but, that is where the offending party lives. It is amazing that someone who never reads my posts would know when I have things to give away! Perhaps his handlers tell him when such things are mentioned so that he can get more things to sell.

Now, to move on, it is a cool morning here. In the 30s but expected to head into the 70s. It makes it hard to know how to dress the kids. Will be cold when I bring them to the sitter's but, will be hot later. Perhaps shorts with jackets. Good thing about cold, it'll keepthe skeeters down!

We are looking into a Nanny, so if anyone has a good lead, please pass it along. Also, for those into the video games (Brutus), what is the best game console for a family? We had looked into the Wii and X-Box, but see a lot of good games and graphics on the PS2 or PS3. Need some suggestions. Thanks for the help.

God Bless,
Dennis

Morning all. Godspeed and a safe trip, RT! I am sad about how one fellow can both chase folks away from a forum, and make them look petulant. Oh well. Hope you have a good day today.

I should have a few hours to myself tonight whilst the bride goes to a meeting. I hope to experiment with connecting Fortner Yard to another reverse loop.

Dennis, don't worry about the other stuff. My brother and his bride are on their second nanny - it's been interesting to observe: I recommend either contacting a full-blown au paire agency (expensive) or the el ed dept at a college in the area. Think of the type of person you want - and what you want them to do - just kid-care, shuttling them about, meals, light cleaning, etc. Sign a contract sketching out pay, work times, vacations, notifying you of schedule changes, responsibilities. Pay the SS too.

I want to get a Wii - I think it would be perfect given the ages of your kids - they're still tough to find for what I want to pay. We have a PS 2 for which there's a billion games. You can find one used at a store like GameStop very inexpensively. PS 3 and Xbox 360 in my opinion are more for hard-core gamers and Internet-connected games - which I have some personal qualms about.
