Hi guys, I get alot of buildings from Walthers. Mostly because i like how easy they are to build and they have nice details to them. They look great by themselfs or kitbashed with others.

Ive decided to start a thread to show all the buildings I build for my modules, layouts and some just for fun and looks until future layouts

The first one is the Walthers Cornerstone Special Edition Red X Cement. This was a special run by Walthers a while ago and it PACKED with added detail that is not included in the sister kit "Medusa Cement"

I started building it about a week ago and heres where im at so far:

More pics of Red X Cement to come. I still have TONS of details to add on that came with the kit.

Allied Rail Rebuilders

This is another kit that Walthers retired awhile back. They recently brought it back for a limited run and i bought 2 of them making the building into 10"x20"

Nicely detailed building, heres some pics:

Ford Motors Stamping Plant

One of the many kits Walthers ran back in 1999 and retired that same year.

The stamping plant was a massive build but i made it even more massive by kitbashing 2 kits together to make one huge building. There is still work that needs to be done to this building. One thing is closing the roof gap on the front half of the building. Other details and such need to be added as well.

Very nice, and nice work as well. Unfortunately, that looks like it would occupy my entire N-scale layout of the moment!

And am I correct in inferring that this is not the centerpiece of your layout, but merely one of many such structures?

Thanks lol. The Stamping Plant is the biggest building ive ever built before and ive never seen anyone build a building of this size either lol. Im sure there are modelers out there that have built larger buildings but this is about as big as I want to go

You are correct, this will be one of 3 LARGE buildings on my Ford Motors Auto Assembly Module; comeing soon :thumb:

Nice work on these models. 1999 was a good year for the Walthers Cornerstone series. They were being introduced so quickly that I was reluctant to purchase one for fear that I would run out of room and a kit would come out that I would want even more. These buildings do take up a lot of real estate.

Here is a photo of one of my favorite.LA73.JPG

These buildings are huge!
I only have one Walthers building kit. It contains I think four mini building kits in it. Each of which is a small warehouse type building. I forgot what the name is, and of course its in the basement at my parents house in Crystal Lake

Keep It Moving!
once again, another tread totally devoted to one part of your skills. I better start doing that, i think people are tired of clicking on the last page of my photo thread.

anyways, awesome buildings. I really wish i had space for those kinds of things.

Now I'm AMP'd
Here's my version of Geo. Roberts Printing.
Unfortunately, its now a plastic injection molding company, hence the Walther Cornerstone Plastic Pellet silos next to it.
Thats also a Walthers air-conditioning unit on top.

This is a grain mill or something like that. Been so long I even forgot what Walthers called it.

The silo is Rix products, the cyclone vent on top is from a Walthers detailing kit, on a scratch built frame(there's one near my house just like it...Why else would I build it). Even the Power Flow on the left is from Walthers.
