I would have to agree with you. It does not seem to do as good of a job as it used to and the 4 character minimum can make it difficult to search for certain things. Have to admit though, it is a lot better than what some of these other forums have.

Every time I try to use search, it tells me about the 4 letter minimum, even tho I have used 8-10 letters. It has NEVER worked fore me, but I realize that I am not the flashiest crayon in the crayola box.

I was just wondering if I am the only one that finds the search function on this sight to be a bit uncooperative?

Why do you think you are the oly one? I never say anything about it because I tried it once, it failed abysmally, wall1 and I resolved never to use it again. Didn't seem worth mentioning at the time.

I had a conversation with Don and it seems that the current issues with the Search are probably here to stay. I guess its good to hear that our Search is better than some others. :)

Another mod told me about Google's advanced search function. If you click on that option while using Google you can type in a topic (in very specific terms that even allow you to exclude certain words) and at the bottom of Google's window cut and paste the URL for the Gauges home page on Zealot. You'll get a bunch of hits for places on The Gauge where your search words appear. I gave it a try and was pleased with the results.
