Doug, He is a Rott/lab mix. About a year old and seems to be real tame. His former owner was a older lady who could not take care of him and his brother. I will let you know more after we bring him home on Thursday. As for 0'dark early, I have become acustomed to it. Start out at 0430 many mornings....and the wife and kids want to know why I need a nap in the afternoons!

I can't believe it, gone for a few days and the forum goes crazy!

Doug and Sir James having problems setting their clocks and adapting to the time change.

Laz getting comp days for going to work.

Dennis is so movie struck he's moving furniture in the kitchen, (probably setting up a photo gallery in the house, or is it a room for the new dog?) BTW Nice Video !!

RT having grit withdrawals ????

John spilling oil all over !!

And, what's with this new NAKED ANGEL? That's gotta be the best thing thats appeared on the forum in years!!!! Welcome aboard Marcie, hope you stay warm!

CSXT, now that you have some binoculars with a USB cable, are you using a laptop, or do you have a USB extension cords?

Glad to hear things are normal in Roseyville......Chiefs neighbors playing road tag with their wives on the highway, while the mayor is plotting with the Sheriff on how to shoot 4 runners. So then what does Dennis do, provides information on how to build a nail gun?? Not to be outdone, Jon comes back with Claymore mine instructions.

Then there are all the SNOW affects.......
Jon's out washing his car during a blizzard,
Buckeye goes and gets all juiced up sitting on his back porch sloucing it up in the snow, then goes to work and makes 12 proposals. (And HE's Married !!)
Chuck is trying to get someone to come outside and play trains in the snow with him.
Tom takes his son out to play baseball on a tennis court??

Kurt building/wiring his layout, then he gets his first Engine, and now he is starting all over so he can run trains.

Brutus - so you know, emails are not longer BECAUSE they came from a far away place, their longer because someone wrote more!

And finally Roy is sitting down there in Texas in a fog.

However, I was hoping I could count on Jeffrey's pictures being there, and they are as good as ever! Maybe this is the source of the problem?..... All these great pictures, and everyone suffering from cabin fever!!!

No laptop yet but one of many things can't afford but wantsign1 Binoculars work great software easy to use and install, it has a hi res and low res pic mode as well as a video mode. Have yet to go outside for a test of capabilities. But for $29.99 it was worth it to me as I have a tech toy to play with:mrgreen: That 30 bucks could have been a subscription or a nice train car maybe. It runs on 2 AAA batteries.

Dennis - a Rot/Lab mix, sounds really cool - we had a Rot/shaggy something mix & he was the best dog we ever had, he had a great disposition & was so good with the kids (let them do whatever they wanted to him), I still miss him.

Good Evening All
We had a sunny 36 and windy day in the Detroit area. still feels cold. A little more snow melt with lots to go. Spots of grass are showing again. Spent the morning at my favorite train store, tough place to go with all those trains saying "take me,take me". My wife is in the other room trying to help the Red Wings win their game, Have to give her an A+ for the effort. Have a pleasant eve........S.J. :eek:ops:

MAN!!!!! What a busy day. Phone rang right after I got up. Then emails and etc and more calls [all Town related]. Finally got home at 3:30 from Town Hall. Never got time to sign on there either. Then got cell phone call from guy wanting to have a partnership for a Raptor center in Roseyville. That would bring my cousins the flying Eagles to town. We are hoping to work it out in some of our park land. Then down to cable at bottom end of property. He did not go under but around. Raleigh mowed too much sewer easement and cut down some nice saplings. He climbed over a few small rocks and went around. Cable across that now. Then made a few casts into the pond and fed deer. Neighbor got his dog and she is on ZIP line so she can run. Got to go to bed early. Got lower GI CT at 7:30 AM. Then will do some errands and come home.

LAZ, you are a great guy to go to that trouble for me. Thanks:thumb:

Shake and Bake, glad your big butt is back. Well, maybe.

Now for popcorn before too late to eat something.

Later and God bless.

PS: N Gauger, she is slowing down some now. Takes a while to settle so you can read and post. FYI

Well, I got on and it's not even 8 o'clock here! I need to go back and forward some emails, but working on my priorities. Chief in the 'cliner? If so all is well with the world. Be careful how you aim that shotgun shell - don't want to end up in the paper explaining your anti-personnel devices. I THINK that Jon is kidding! Sir James and Doug, dunno about you but it was like 60 plus today and very nice out! Kinda glad I cut my hair off on the weekend, since now I wasn't too hot. Can't wait to hear about your dog, Dennis - sounds like you got a good one! Don - for some reason I have writerhea - as I told one friend, I can type faster than I can think  So I get a longish email and then write a book in reply? wall1 Nice picture and sounds like a nice engine, Jeffrey, thanks for sharing these each day. Roy? Is that you? I can barely see you from here? Must be the fog!

Marcie, thanks. We had a Rott/Lab female who died last April. She was so sweet and gentle, but very strong. Vet said she was the strongest dog he ever tried to handle, and that was when she was pretty ill.

Don, glad you got back on here. Seems you have been busy out that way. Hope you are catching up.

Brutus, the PVC points up and it holds birdshot. Wouldn't hurt him, but he may need to change his underwear.

Question: did anyone recieve their May CTT? I see on the front of the web site it says that it is on newstands. I have not gotten mine yet.

On a downer, a friend who was to deploy to Afghanistan the end of this month got hit in the eye with a nail and is out of commission for some time now. He has had two surgeries on his eye and has a few more ahead. Not sure if they will save his vision. Will have to lift prayers.

Well, I do hope that everyone has a blessed night and rest of the week. Take care,
Dennis

Molton Chocolate Souffle on counter with fresh coffee...Help yourself.
I'm going to bed.

Prayers for your friend, Dennis - I know you meant it was just pointed up or into the ground or something, just teasing. Chocolate soufle sounds good to me! I'll be right over, Kurt!

I have still been researching the xbox/windows development thing and they use a language called XNA the software for windows is suppose to be a free download how ever for the xbox you have to join the xbox developers club for a fee and then you get the development software still just a pipe dream for now.

- SEEMS that MTH has more engine feature control. (Turning various lights On, Off, or Flashing, Engine sounds, and Idle Sounds, Crew Dialog, etc..)

Good Evening and all that.... Remember that post I put up the other day? I've referenced the particular statement above, because......
Tonight was doing regular PM on engines and rolling stock. So I bring out the MTH UP AC4000 cw (Avatar), and it won't start up. Its been sitting for awhile, and thought the battery is probably low. So deleted the engine and readded it. It comes up BUT kinda different!! The name doesn't appear, and all the soft keys are different. After fooling around with it for awhile the dumb thing thinks its a TROLLEY! Its got all kinds of weird titles on the keys, MMW, MMM, MTC, and more. Then when I select one it says Next Stop Armed ?? I've deleted it and readded it a number of times, still the same. Now when it starts it has the bell ringing (at a different pitch, and real fast). Don't know whats going on. Going to try some different things to see whats happening, so will let you all know what I find. (Doug did you put a trolley curse on me?)

Going to go see if Barry has ever seen this..

Dennis - Hope that works out for your friend!!!
Good luck with the tests tomorrow Chief, don't say I envy you.

Have a good evening ALL !

Brutus--
Yes, I was kidding about the Claymore Land mine but there are times.... I've ridden ATV's for quite a few years and I get frustrated with some of the fools who pretend to be riders and wreck it for everyone else. Just simply respecting private property would be wonderful but for some folks the rules just don't apply.

One of my best friends was the high school principal and he loved his job but the most frustrating part of the job was spending 98% of his time with 2% of the kids and I'll bet you know who the 2% were. Kind of like ATV's going where they shouldn't.

Hello Everyone!

That same day I posted about the two accidents another accident happened at night!! This guy was drunk and he slambed brakes when the robot turned red, lost control of his car and smacked into my dad's car!!! jawdropjawdropjawdrop

My mom was in the car again and my wife. Luckly it was a light bump, and baby seems fine inside.

Since he is gonna be a boy I got the previlige to name him. His name is going to be Seth.:thumb:

He is due June 8.

Sorry havn't been posting much, working night shift so when I get back between 11 and 12 at night I'm way too pooped to try and access the net to see whats up. Then I sleep the next day or I work double shift.

Anyway, all keep well- damn, I'm missing my train activities A LOT!!!

Keep well.

Morning. Good breakfast of barham that I had to drink. Not much difference than the Yankee cream of wheat or oatmeal.
Hatter. Congrats and I knew you were busy doing something [making babies ]. sign1
