I am just wondering how much time people spend on here. I voted in one of these on another forum and found that some people almost never leave. I know alot of you are on here quite a bit and thought this would be kinda fun and interesting. With my luck, there is already one of these going around, that seems to happen to me alot lately.

I used to be in the 3-4 hours a day catagory, weekends were another story, but lately I have been real busy (AND I HATE ITwall1) so I am now voting in the 1 hour a day catagory

I spend way to much time...as gmail notifies me almost in real time. It is so easy to say...gee, I wonder what they said...

I actually interferes with my modeling more than helps...I think...

As a moderator who works from home, I'm not on here for any one large chunk of time but rather I check in many times a day for short periods of time. I voted for the 2 hours a day. I also did a poll not too long ago regarding how often do you visit this site. If your interested, I'll see if I can dig it up.

I check in throughout the day during breaks at work. My vote was cast by my wife, who thinks I'm in the addicted category especially in the evenings and weekends...I forget to log off half the time....

If you dont click the log out button, does it show you as on here even when you really arent? Because if thats the case, I heve not left in a few months!

If you leave but don't log out, it will show you as "off-line" 30 minutes after you leave. If you log out, you are immediately shown as off-line. And, it you stay here, but don't do anything, you are again shown as off-line 30 minutes after your last activity. That is, reading searching or posting.

I voted for "a few times a week" but I need to qualify that. I think this is what it would work out to if you averaged out my "slow" and "busy" times.

In a "slow" time, I still check The-Gauge a couple times a day but may only spend 10 to 15 minutes max. (I am, after all, a Moderator!)

When I have more time and am into several discussions, then it would get into 1-2 hours per day -- this would be my "busy" times.

I, too, voted for the "a few times a week" category, but it really depends on (a) how busy I am, and (b) what topics are showing up in my favorite forums. Sometimes a week or two will go by between visits, and other times I'm on here for hours...

Yes, that's exactly how it is with me -- if I spent too much time here, I wouldn't have time for modeling RR-ing! Rob

:agree1:...time spent on THE Gauge definitely takes away time from the layout, mostly because the more time here, the more I change my mind on what I want to do. There are just too many good ideas and layouts to steal from  sign1 ...

"A few times a week" isn't an adequate description of what I do. I'm too busy during the week to keep up with this along with the other forums I'm on. Therefore, after a Sunday or Monday visit, I'm usually not back until Friday or Saturday, and then I spend a while catching up.

I don't have the time I used to, otherwise I would have voted I'm addicted (of which I still am, signs of it come when I start shaking and shivering to come online) but, ja, unfortunately a few times a week only. :-(

I pick 1 hour but that depends how you look at it. I check in several times a day and try to read something new everyday. Sometimes I will leave a tab open while I am on my bass boat fishin' site, or taking my online college classes. Spend way to much time on the computer between work and the other three :eek:ops:

I sort of do the same thing. And, yes, Macs are awesome! I use one at home and at work. Rob
