Good afternoon folks

It is a busy then slow today around the house today. Wife went to work and the kids are watching a movie right now. My daughter twisted her ankle this morning in her basketball game. The floor was real slippery and she went to stop from full speed and her legs went out from under her and she turned her ankle under her body. My son has a game in about 45 minutes.

They both are supposed to have baseball and softball tryouts but now my daughter won’t make it and my son will be at basketball. We were going to go yesterday but they canceled due to the incorrect weather forecast. Of course holding outdoor baseball tryouts when the temperature is 38 F and the wind chill is 32 F seems kind of odd.

I am hoping to get some modeling in, later tonight. We will see.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Helllooooooooo......anyone there?

Good show today. Passed on a 623 switcher. I know the 622's but didn't know much about this one. Should have bought it. DAH.

Met up with Sir James! Nice to see you again Sir! Wasn't able to stay until 3:30 to meet the group form the MC OGR (Motor City O-Gauge Railers). Turns out they were going further east (opposite my house) to meet and get to know everyone. As it was, good thing I made it home when I did. I was about to be -1 or -2 children. Bride didn't think either of them needed a nap. Uh Huh.

Watched the Live Steam Garden Railroad group for quite awhile. I'm hooked. What a cool toy! No track cleaning!

Didn't find any Crane parts...PW prices were pretty high.

Hi Kurt! I've been doing laundry and watched Suspect Zero with Ben Kingsley on the laptop. Kids were watching some cartoons they borrowed on dvds. I did get another wall done insulation-wise. I still need to insulate the wall at the bottom of the stairs. I also need to actually frame some wall going up the stairs where they hug the concrete wall in the basement. I think I'll just do that with some 1 x 1 strips though so I don't reduce the width of the stairwell too much. Always something more to be done! Glad to hear you had a good time and met up with Sir James 1. Laundry is still running, so I'll put in Superbad (borrowed from a friend) and get back to you later - ttyl!

Good evening everyone. Was a good day at church, but bride had to stay home with both kids who were on the sick side. Both had fevers and son was vomitting. I come home to find them conspiring to get a dog or two. I am just not ready for that yet.

Did some work on the Dollhouse today, but no layout work. Thanks to a friend keeping an eye out for me, it seems I may have purchases that Savannah and Atlanta engine I have been trying to find. Just waiting on the seller to get back to me.

It was interesting at Church as so many of our key people were up in the smoky mountains. Our church sponsors a retreat for pastors to "Refresh" themselves. They will be up there till the end of the week, but it is for a great mission. The folks left back here are busy working on the movie, so we have plenty of work and fewer folks to do it with considering all the projects.

Well, I hope everyone has a blessed week ahead.
God Bless,
Dennis

HI GIZ and GALS,

Ran trains tonite for an hour, NO PILE UPS. Day 5 in the MILLERSBURG YARDS, No PILE UPS.
BRUTUS, I too reserved the JOHNNY BULL. Nice train I also got the add on car. Do you have the FRIENDS OF CHARLESTON? Somehow I remember you saying you had purchased this? How does it run?
Back to the grind tomorrow, 65 more days.

Good evening all,

It was a beautiful day here. Sunny and warm, not sure how high the temps got, but it felt nice.

Three grand kids were here late afternoon till just a little while ago. Made burgers on the grille and baked potato wedges (steak fries). Tried to help the 7th grader with English usage homework. Been out of school to long for that. wall1

Dennis, what is your status report on the doll house?

Kurt, I was curious what a 623 was, so I did a google and it brought one up on ebay. Santa Fe SW2, the one listed is pretty rough looking. Do those live steamers run on G gauge track?

Tom, don't they have any rules about how soon before the season start they can begin practice?

SOunds like a good day, SJ and Dennis and Laz and John too, LOL

Laz, I got the BFOC last year and it is really nice. I have 2 add on cars, but I'm running it just with the one that it came with right now. I had to put some threadlocker on the screws that hold the driver rods, but they are fine now. Be sure you put plenty of oil on those drivers, too. On the JB, I didn't order the add on car since it comes with two, but I'm thinking of adding that....

Evening all!

Long day here. Some rain this evening and temps in 60's, but supposed to fall tomorrow to high 30's and maybe some SNOHIZO :curse:

Scrubbed 3 bathrooms :curse:, mowed front yard (more leaves wall1), cleaned gutters, and watched NASCAR :thumb:. Man #24 & #20 took it in the shorts today.

The missus made a great dinner of chicken and rice!

Hope everyone has a great evening!

Tom, don't they have any rules about how soon before the season start they can begin practice?

Not sure if they do. For the Little League Tournament Teams they can not be chosen before June 15th.

The draft is this week and all players must be notified by the 12th. Practices can begin anytime after that. First games are April 5.

Good Evening ...
Had a quiet day under the layout. Working on wiring the control panel to track switches. Did pretty good, pleased with results. Got more adjusting and tweaking to do. But it is all coming together.

Enjoyed watching Nascar race as well, (even though the guys I have in the fantasy league were all fighting for last place, I think we won).

Tomorrow evening my favorite LHS is having a Legacy demo by Lionel. Will go down and check it out.

Tired going to call it a day.

Morning from a chilly Stockport +3C sleet and snow showers GRITters are out, roads clear, me-I'm staying home with ERNI, taking 4 Black Widows with a 35 car manifest over Donner Pass, broke a coupler at Flatt but as I save every 15 minutes not too much for the dispatcher to shout at. 17MPH at notch 8, keep the ammetre out of the red. If I cook a motor? I loose my ticket and have to start again.
Have a nice Monday all and welcome Marcie.
I live in a sheltered housing project and my heating thermostat was impossible for me to adjust due to its bad design and my Arthritis, got a fancy (Chinese) electronic device impossible for my TOGs brain to programme, so I've just bought and fitted a user friendly simple device that I turn up when I am cold and down when I am warm (an ON-OFF switch!!!)-Works a treat.

Good Morning all! A little bit of a restless night, but doing well this morning. Have a morning case and as of 0730, I will be off call! That should free me up about lunch time to get some work done on the doll house and the layout. SWMBO wants progress! Of course she may also have some other projects for me, but I shall see when I get home.

I have a check to send off for the GP35. Nice guy, even lowered the price without asking. I look forward to getting this piece as it was in such limited production, I thought I'd have to resort to lettering a undecorated version.

Chief, hope you have a safe return from your successful venture. All those chargers, with so many boaters yet to sell to. Perhaps one of them will take a otherwise hapless yankee fisherman out for a trip!

Well, it is supposed to head to 80 today. Hope you folks in the Ohio snowbelt don't suffer too much. We will be thinking of you.

Take care and GOD Bless!

Today is a busy day. I have a lot of errands to run and places to stop. No time for trains today. The Nascar races were good yesterday.

Good morning folks

It was 37 F this morning. Our high is supposed to be 57 F today. It is supposed to be in the fifties all week.

My daughter’s foot is still bothering her this morning. My wife is taking her to see the pediatrician. Later today we begin the battle with Frigidaire over the cracked range top.

No modeling. I just could not get the time.

I hope everybody has a good day.
