Morning all. Worked on track until midnight - what a nice evening. Hopefully will be able to repeat it tonight. Brutus, those evenings are special. I remember a few dances with my now-16-and-driving-me-crazy daughter. Good to remember. Had three of her friends sleep over. Expect they'll sleep until noon. With the middle boy gone to camp, I'm taking the opportunity to clean up his room a bit - to my satisfaction.

Good Morning, This site worked good for a change. We have brite sun for today and 30ish,but tomorrow doom and gloom. I will wait till morn and go from there. My wife is making meatballs and they smell good, I wonder what she has planned. There is a train show today about 40 miles from here, over Kurts way, but my travel friend has not called so we may not be going. I was hoping to meet up with Kurt but he said morning for him and its almost 10:30 now. Add an hour travel time and would not be there in time. Enjoy your week end,,,,S.J.

Afternoon all!

50's today. Cloudy and raining on and off here. Not a lot of rain at my house - but a lot of thunder, some rain, and consistent drizzle/light showers since about midnight. Probably less than 3/4 inch at my house. If you believed the weather guys last night - we were all going to float away with 5 inches of rain.

Have a great day all!

Had to work 1/2 day today, went OK.
Stopped on the way home and picked up a couple 100 feet of door bell wire. Guess what I'm doing.... Really enjoying this aspect of the layout build !!!
Later... want to get busy.

Just back from lunch with the daughter - which always seems tobe painful - she's so... young and foolish. Was I ever like that? ;) Then chipped ice from the driveway - got a workout! Waiting for the youngest to come home from Chuck E. Cheese. Sounds like Don is having fun!

Sir James: You didn't miss much...Big $$$. Nice PW stuff but they want arms and legs for it. Didn't look like a lot of people were buying. Almost bought some nut drivers. Good thing I didn't. They were way overpriced.

I think I heard something about Gratiot Valley in 2-weeks??? If that's true I may need to take a road trip. Keep me posted.

Bride out getting taxes done, so i'm home with the munchkins!

Bride leaves for India tomorrow thru Friday. If you're comming over, you'd better bring track, and Ice Cream. Carpet Central Empire Builder may be in effect!

Good evening all
Kurt- got there about 12:30 got lucky on parking straigth out from the door. That was the end of our luck. Folks its a big show but not for 3 railers,a very large amount of tables were HO. then we learned it was dealers only, no tables sold to indvl.s which meant very little dealing. We bought nothing and decided not to go again because of the distance and lack of three rail sellers. On the otherhand is was a nice sunny day in michigan. cold of course but sunny.,,,,,S.J
PS gratiot valley is MARCH 2nd. thats 2 weeks from now

Mikey, Congratulations balloon6balloon6balloon6

Sr James, I have not had any problems with the site. I'm using Firefox at the moment but didn't have problems when using IE either. Is this the only site you have problems with?

Don, You are installing a door bell in the Train Room?

rtraincollector, I was thinking the same thing.

Congrats Mikey. Bride is in Galena - two hours away - more train time. Funny how when I just play with track I think of another better way of doing things than all my planning. Fortner yard expands, as does Fullerton Tunnel, and Baker Field.

I hope "clothes and some toys" is code for trains and track!

Sir James: Sorry. I didn't know it was dealers only...That would explain the pricing. I think that will be my last one there. I expected you to walk away with one of those $400 Lionel Hobby Shops!

Taxes done!

Kurt
