Ozzy--
I am really SICK of this Iowa winter, without a doubt I think it's one of the worst ones we had since we moved to Adel in '76 and tomorrow looks like we may get heavy snow, just what we don't need. I expected these kinds of winters when we lived in northern IA but not down here. Had a great time at the motorcycle show in MPLS on Saturday, I NEED to win the lottery  I hope you get to ride with your son some day, it is the best week of the year and my wife is one our biggest supporters in that endeavor.

I hate having PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome), not fun sign1 but the trains do help.

Who has time to start seeds???? No John and I usually do in Feb. I do have them bought. Lowes had all the varities I usually plant. Could not believe it. Long day. Town Board went late due to the Manager getting his appraisal from TB and Mayor. Town Clerk is now my Executive Assistant. You want an appointment to talk to the Mayor, call her. You need to check my schedule, call her. Building that KINGDOM. :thumb: Trains tomorrow. OZZY, behave. Popcorn time. Good night all.

Morning!
Had trouble sleeping last night...dog whining, youngest stirring, rental house had pepole out honking horn...about 12:00am...then I see the brightest whitest light ever.. It blinded me, and the blinds were closed...lasted about 3-4 seconds, then BOOM! I think lightning struck right outside our house. I could hear some sizzling with the light. Pretty wierd. I wish I had the blinds open to see it! So I did the responsible thing, and unplugged the electric blanket.

Finishing up the rebuild on the 2025..trucks arrived yesterday..the front bolt is sheared off in the cow catcher. Today's project: get sheared bolt off and finish. Pics later.

Well, I tried to post yesterday and the computer/web site ate my message. Anyway, here goes nothing:
John Baker (Across the pond), I have been trying to send the photos and am still working on it. For some reason, my computer is having fits trying to attach anything.
Jon, the March '08 Popular Mechanics has a article on the "Perfect Motorcycle Trip", thought of you and your future plans with your son.
Chief, I hope everyone has been behaving.
Had a nice surprise on Friday. The hospital is signing everyone on the medical staff up for LifeLock to prevent ID theft. Much of our information is available on line as licensed professionals and it would be easy for someone to take advantage of that. The hospital is paying for it as well as covering our families too. Nice perk.
On the train front, Brutus, I think you are on to something with that transfere table. Also, last night, we stopped at Hobby Lobby with some 40% coupons and picked up some signals and scenic items. I hope to get some more progress done this weekend.
Hope y'all have a good day.
God Bless,
Dennis

Good morning folks

It was a foggy 43 F as I headed out this morning. We are supposed to get to 59 F! Of course when it is mild it rains. I didn’t head off to work right away. Since my wife is sick with the bug that has been going around I had to take my daughter and her friends to school for their intramural rock climbing.

No modeling last night. I had to some scout stuff. I needed to update our roster and other paperwork as it is time to re-charter.

John, sorry to hear about the dog. It is always tough losing a pet.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all. Supposed to get another foot of white stuff tonight - and today's my 'long day' - ugh, don't look forward to trudging home in it. I want to move somewhere where it doesn't snow.

Brutus, neat idea for transfer table. I've experimented with something like that - like the extenders that raise ambulance beds, it was hard to get to deploy in a straight line.

John F, sorry about your SIL's dog. That's a real tragedy.

BTW: Lionel.com has version of Legacy manual 1.1 on their site. Trainroom time for me. :thumb: Then Town Hall. Grilling a chicken this afternoon. :thumb: Krawler, thought of you yesterday. Got box from Holiday Inn Express in Hayden. Opened it and two yelling kids ran out.:cry: No, but it was cellphone charger I had left in room as packed up so quick. Later.

Welcome to all the new Caboose Coffee Pot visitors. Sure glad to see a lot of "drinkers". Ran trains [Atlas GP35 and Lionel Dash 9 with Conrail U boat] and all ran good. Now ran Atlas SD40 highnoses [3 MU'd] and Big Boy. Good day in train room [lots of smoke so glad I had exhaust fan in ceiling]. Now off to Town Hall. BTW: Yanks, in the high 60's.

Chief, what'd the chicken do?bounce7
Reading the CTT, Dave Connolly's layout is inspiring. Finallizing the layout wiring and also the plans for the control center. It may be taking a long time, but I hope that I have done my homework and am doing a good job. If this doesn't work right, may have to hire Roy to finish it for me.

Anyway, I voted, then came in as I am on call this week. Hope to get some sleep and then the layout wiring done this weekend.

God Bless,
Dennis
