Remember...it's for fun!
Jeffrey, I like that trailer! I can think of a place on my layout that could have a couple of those.

Afternoon all!

Warm here today. Gonna be 77 degrees.

Did some yardwork yesterday, knocking some dirt down where we had a tree root barrier put in next to the house. It never settled even with all the rain last year. Mulched and bagged a lot of leaves (about 40 bushels worth ) that ended up in my yard after the front blew through last week.

Better listen to the Chief - if he visits your area - watch out for floods, etc.!

Gearing up for the S'Bowl - hope it is a good one!

Regards,
Roy

Afternoon - making chili here too - wow, I wish I remember what 77 degrees felt like. That's a lot of leaves, Roy. Long day - worked at church, then long talk with daughter. Reminded me of similar talks in my youth. I thought of John F too looking at the JC items in the new Lionel catalog.

Ozzy--great report on the health front, stay well.

Just home from a wonderful extended time with our youngest son in MPLS/ST. Paul, what a great town(s). Attended the International Motorcycle Show yesterday, I need to win the lottery:thumb:.

The boss and I are already setting aside time for the summer with trying to make vacation plans--May, June & July look busy with a few days here and there and then a week marked out. I think we are both anxious for warmer weather and no more ice/snow, it's been a L O N G winterwall1.

Almost time for the sort of Super Bowl sign1

Don, I don't know if I missed the report on your son's accident or if my memory is failing, but I don't recall the previous mention of it.

Did I mention that we got 2.63" of rain (as reported on TV) on Friday? That puts us a little ahead for the year.

Half time of a somewhat boring game so far.

Spent yesterday transferring stuff from older computer to newer computer.

One thing I like about Firefox is that it gives you a spell checker on line. Nice. So far it has played nice with the 4 forums that I visit from time to time.

Chief was just thinking about you. Local commercial came on during the game, it was for your favorite Holiday Inn in Hayden Id. The local fox station is giving away passes or what for the place *LOL*

John (across the pond), I am having a hard time attaching the photos to send to you. I will try several more methods....may have to just send a disk to you with the photos.

John (jeffelectric), I already purchased the Valentine's items for my bride on Friday, so we are covered for that.

Doug Murphy, I too love the older books. I have one set called Physician Through the Ages, it has photos of the proposed Columbia Hospital in New York City. While I would hate to go back to the old days regarding medicine, it is amazing what they did whith what they had. I am looking forward to getting the book I mentioned earlier.

Had a good day with church and all. Time to get to bed though as I start call in the morning and who knows what will be this week. Chief, I think Jim F must really be a Southerner, he is too nice to be a Yank.

God Bless,
Dennis

Ozzy--I see that SE IA got most of the snow today, EXCELLENT, better you than us :thumb::thumb::thumb:

A most excellent outcome to the sort of a Super Bowl game, nice to see the underdog win. If it can't be the Pack or Vikings I'll settle for the Giants.

Chief--just you wait until your Grandson gets a bit older, our Grandaughter just loves Thomas (20 months).

Morning!
Superbowl party went well!
Volleyball friends in attendance...We get everyone together a couple of times a year. Didn't have time to get the trains running for them. Bride said this is football day...not trains. Chicken wings, hot and BBQ, oven roast chicken, grilled pork loin, and vegetables, DIY baked potatos, and salad.

Wireless router working great. We had a friend over that wanted to log on. If you didn't have all the case sensitive information and passwords correct forget it. You couldn't even find it.

I apologise in advance for the spelling, punctuation, and other errors in my post.

Out AZ way
I noticed that last night there were people posting here during what I guess was some crucial moments in the Super Bowl. Either they were multitasking or they really didn't care much what was going on there. Hmm, what does that say about me?

Yeah, I watched for a while, but it seems like about every two minutes they'd break for about four minutes of commercials. If I left for a little bit, I'd come back to yet more commercials. I guess the commercials are suppose to be part of the entertainment, but at over five mill a minute, someone was making a fortune.

The best thing about yesterday afternoon was that here in Phoenix, most people were either at the FBR Open, going to the Super Bowl, at home getting ready to watch it or in the grocery stores getting stocked up for the game. Man, the streets were almost empty and we had our choice of any restaurant in town for a quick lunch.:thumb:
