HI GIZ,
28 and freezing rain here. Took me 35 minutes to get to school today. Cars spun out all over. Took two steps onto driveway this morning and was on my back. OUCH, ok though.
Ran trains last nite for an hour, NO PILE UPS! Ran my MTH Niagara and Southern Crescent Moon. All ran smooth, still like them but sounds are same really can't tell the two apart.
B. good?

Morning everyone. Wind was howling out of the south all night - this morning coming from the west - even though it is still 40ish, here come's Jon's weather! It's my late day so hope the van isn't too frozen when I get off the train at 10 pm. Bought my first monthly pass in years today - trying to beat the 10% fare increase. No joy there.

Brutus, glad you made it to sunny FLA - hope you can connect with Dennis.

Kurt, Vulcan Lakes as they call it has been a fiasco for the town. They took possession by handshake in exchange for letting the gravel co. dig up a through-road. No one knew who would pay for it to be transformed into a water wonderland. LOL. I think I'm going to look for what did you call them, sprung trucks - that might make a big difference for my mpc-era rolling stock.

Laz, that Niagara is a great looking engine.
CSXect, that would be cool - I can just imagine the smoke billowing from the blast furnance in your back-yard.
Don, glad you're drying out. Enjoyed watching some Thomas videos last night after everyone went to bed.
Roy, funny coincidence, the daughter told me that is the very type of place she is looking at currently - a sort of salon for tweens. Of course, it's nearly on the other side of the county.

And last night I installed lights in the Ace Hardware and Jimmy's Barbershop building. They already one cheap bulb each, which I removed and replaced with Life-Like stick-on bulb, one per floor.

I probably will never get farther then reading about it but it sounds cool, I have found websites on how to make a furnace and crucible, it has its dangers.

But I could see making trucks, wheel sets and other detail parts for rolling stock:cool: The best part is it would be using fuel and material that would otherwise be thrown out:twisted:

well i just found out today that our club was given a check for 1000.00 to be spent on the O-scale layout, and the O- scale layout only. the couple cave us the money as asked not to be named, so only the club member who was given the check knows who it was i guess.

oh man,,,, i guess the HO scale guys are pissed about it....lol they cant spend any of it...lol i dont know why they are made,, the couple couple of just as easily made it out to the HO layout. and most members are in both scales at the club.

$1K will buy a lot of 027 track, Ozzy or 8 Western Hobbycraft trolleys - how fun! I wonder how the club will decide to spend it.

;)

im going to vote for and operational yard, the track and switches would cost a lot, no one member is going to want to pay for all that and a modular table. that and i would like to add DCS or tmcc or both.

First visit to computer today. Got in late last night. Flights all went well. Busy day. Up early and to Dr. for a followup. Back to Town Hall for answering emails and lots of calls built up. Folks think you can't go out of town some. Call and re-call. Bird feeders bare [wife filled once] adn then unpack. Now off to Chamber Banguet [which I do not feel like going too]. No rest for the weary. BTW: train layout is still in place adn nothing missing. Guess the trains did not play while I was away.

Keep losing connection, guess there are a lot of guests using this wireless connection and I brought the wrong cable - oh well. Nice here but can't wait for family to show up. Hope to connect with Dennis, called earlier and left number and also sent email from internet page. TTFN

Dennis called and we're going to get together tomorrow night, can't wait! Just watching some dvds I brought with me tonight. I brought those Great Train Layout dvds from a while back - some really nice stuff!

Ozzy, you and Sir James should just make a quick run over to my hotel here in Orlando and we'll watch some of these train videos and eat some icecream!
