Speaking of Galacticas

Speaking of Galacticas, I just wanted you all to know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I finally got some time today to get back at the new Galactica. The 3D work is just about done. A few things to wrap up around the retractable arms, and some flat cannons to construct. The attached image shows the port bay extended and the starboard retracted. This model is gonna be fantabulous, if I do say so myself.

How big?

Heck yeah! Looks great!

I may even have to build this puppy...

Do you have room for two four foot galactica's? sign1

With all the reference material popping up we could dedicate our lives to "Galactica in Card", with ever increasing detail.

I wonder how much it would cost to build a 1:1 or even 1/10 scale Galactica? I could live in it, and make a living selling tours to tourists.....

Well, by definition paper is simply processed wood, so I'd say bracing of 2"x4"s would be within the bounds of "paper"

I like to refer to wood as "paper ore" hence using toothpicks when needed is allowed! I also only use wire when a plan calls for it.

I suppose within the bounds of paper ore a 2x4 is indeed allowed!
