This one is anything but a small Roll-By.

I used about 75% of my rolling stock for this one. I didnt use my coal hoppers or my double stacks. Those should be there own trains

Here is a 54 car, yes thats right 54 car  Roll-By. Took me about an hour to do. Hope you all enjoy. If you scroll down it once and look at them and then scroll back up to the top of the page and then scroll back down a little bit faster it looks like a flip book and looks pretty cool. kinda like a video.

Thanks PWRR!! I learned the moveing traffic effect from Deano

That sure is a nice train, but I think I recognize that orange, Boley flatbed.

hehehe well that flatbed had a long drive from MN to CA, had to go through tons of rain ,snow, and ice to get here through those rugged mountains. The trucker, Bob, also stopped and had his truck washed for once  in Orange County, CA, shortly before arriveing at the Great west Pre-Stress Concrete Slab Facility in Lake Forest, CA. Looks like Bob forgot to tie down his load too  guess he will have to learn the hard way when his load either comes crashing down on the pavement or the highway partol pulls him over. :p

Bob got in trouble up here because he was hauling a forklift and it was only tied down with nylon two straps. (my lumber yard thread)

Well if you see him, tell him to hurry on home, because we need him back at the lumber yard. sign1

Neat run-by, Josh, and, as mentioned, your technique with the vehicles passing through the scene is very well-done. :thumb::thumb:

When that white pickup truck pulled directly in front of you I thought the RR police coming to question you... now THAT would have been realistic...

Awesome shoot, great idea for a thread. I'll have to do it once I get the track work done...

P.S. whats with the mirror backdrop, I see a GIANT foamer taking pictures, and a ghost hand in some shots...

As much as Id like to do a roolby like that, it would get boring because the only cars in the train are taconite cars, and up in Missabe country, theres not much traffic.

Why? Every RR sees mixed freight trains, heck, my RR LIVES of mixed freight trains. Besides, why can't you throw on a flatcar w/ mining equipment or a short passenger train full of workers?
