Evening. Watching TV and wife on desktop [laptop not on]. The Buckeye called and woke me up [caught me reclinerizing]. COLD and WINDY. REAL COLD. 9 deer waiting to be fed earlier. Was right after dark. They stood 15 feet from truck, I got out, they did not run, watched me put out piles of corn and I was on foot 20 feet away. Two were nervous, rest knew my whistle I do when I see them. As I went back to truck, nervous ones ran across the front of truck and the others walked. Went into brush. Drove truck up hill some and got out. 5 rushed back out and ate. # nervously came out but saw corn and begain to eat. By then hand were frozen so came home for dinner. Great time feeding. I will get them tamer by end of winter.

BigO, hang in there. Prayers for you.

OH! Buckeye, forgot to ask you on the phone. Don't you know an engineer at the aircraft company [LM] in MA?

FREEZING! in Stockport, GRIT(ter)S out in force, snowing all around on the hills but we are still in the clear. Radio just played Ray Stevens 'The Streak'. BRRRRR!
Got a voucher for a free Big Mac, the new year is starting well, if you like that sort of thing?
A belated Happy New Year to you all.
Our Railways are in a state of chaos due to overrunning engineering work, and to add insult to injury for the poor benighted commuters all the fares have been hiked.

Good morning folks

Who left the door to the Artic open? It was 18 F with a wind chill of 5 F this fine crisp morning. It is supposed to reach a balmy 28 F.

If all goes well we are supposed to be having our new wall ovens delivered and installed. I wonder what gems of poor workmanship they will find when they remove the old ovens. Every repair job in our house is an adventure. I no longer try to fix things since the previous contractors jerry rigged and cheaply installed most things. I have had professional plumbers go out to their trucks mumbling to themselves like punch drunk boxers.

I finished weathering the trucks on the coil cars and reinstalled the wheels. I also continued weathering the hoods by hitting them with washes.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning!
Tom PM: I really liked the weathering job on the wheels! Can you tell us how you did that?

Well...Time to get on with the new year! Anyone have any goals and objectives set for this year???

I need to complete (2) more sections of my Architecture Licensing Exams by July. July they change the exam sections to include one that I have completed. I'm not going thru that again...Hopefully

Morning. Slept late. Don B, a guy in a town north of LA has been invited to this site. Sent you an email he sent with his town's name. COLD in NC. Must be all over the country. Blame Jon E as he left the door open to try and get those politicians out of his state. wall1  Got errands to run and Town Hall duty today. Got all of wife's tubs under layout. Now to get skirting. Think I am going to buy another one of those plactic drawer things that is like a filing cabinet. Fits right under layout. Got all my tools and ect in this one. Then I can put parts [motors, brushes, bulbs, eunits, reversing units, screws and etc] in them and be organized. Sure cleaned up the edges of my layout.

Buckeye, just thought we might have a contact that could do a little heads up on someone taking up their company's time on the internet instead of working. announce1

Stuffed sausage biscuits and GRITS. Keep 'em on the rails. Later.

Hi GIZ,
16 and cold here too. To get warmer this weekend?
CHIEF, sounds like fun with your deer. Mine know me too, they start to walk away when they see me and the dog coming. They don't wany to get hit with snowballs. I just love doing that. Saw 4 last nite, to far away to throw abot 35 yards. They too are at feeders, corn, guy has placed out behind his house. The most I saw there were 13 at one time.
Got my K-line tank engine last nite, pretty cool. Put it on the Lagacy system and crawls around track.
CHIEF I see someone gave the other"pot" a terrible rating?
OZZY, prayers to you.
B. good.

Happy Day's Are Here Again (sing along), 7 hours until the Presidential hopefuls leave us alone and life returns to normal. The caucus process is interesting but once every four years is certainly enoough, the politicians have been here for well over a year preparing for tonight. "May I hold that door for you as you leave"?

There's a rumor that we may actually see the ground again by Sunday, 40's both Saturday and Sunday with low's above freezing. May have to get out the beach umbrella :thumb:

A few friends are coming over this afternoon to run trains, YES! For those of you building your new benchwork and designing track plans....... make your minimum radius 54 if possible. That will be my rule on the next build, I'm going to try very hard to stay with 72 except for the trolley/subway which will be 31.

I really enjoy the building part of this hobby the most, my biggest frustration is coming up with a track plan I like. Hopefully on the next and final build it will be fulfilling.

Look out New Hampshire------the press corps and politicians will be there for breakfast

Good Morning,
It's cold but the sun is out, I had some things this morning but home now and locked the door behind me. I'm stayin in, well most of the time.
Just wondering about those plastic storage boxes and rust. No ventilation. But a good storage idea if there is no rust problem....Sir James

Ozzy, prayers.
Chief, I have a friend who is very high up at LM. Let me know.
Not much going on, one single case and it is not mine. I have some cases next week, but will enjoy the lull so I can get some other work done. Have some pictures to take for our friend across the Pond...John B. Will be doing that this afternoon. Also have the decorations to put up in the attic. After that, will get my 15 minutes in.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Dennis

Morning from a freezing Crystal Lake - supposed to be in the 50s by weekend. Must be all that hot air blowing out of Iowa. Prayers for you, Ozzy.

John F, how are those Miller Engineering signs powered? They sure look neat. Have to find one that says Sodor Island Railway ;)
