Have about an inch of snow on the streets may get as much as 3 inches.

Diet is still going well hopeing to have had a loss and not flatened out or God forbid a gain.

Still exploring this site. Lots of neat stuff here.

HI GIZ,
Thanks for all the BDAY wishes. Felt good today did my BDAY run of 6 miles. Not in my BDAY suit, as BUCKEYE stated a few pages back, that was last year. Had a great day though chasing deer near a development, wu-ith snow balls, BRO hit one, walked away. saw 12 deer though had fun. Ran trains, NO PILE UPS. All ran great.
Hope all had a nice day.

Sounds like a great day Laz!

Jon - great video! Doug, nice pics, looks like you got a lot done! Hi to all, I read all the posts, but can't keep up! LOL

Got some insulation done yesterday. Was gonna finish up the long outside wall today, but wife wanted to go to mall looking for a new coat. They had a board game in one store based on Railroad Tycoon -- anybody here ever play that one? Watching the last disc of the latests Wild Wild West set they released. One more set to go - I think it comes out in March or so? Oh, I looked for a Doyle or other train book at Borders, but ended up getting Resident Evil: Extinction on dvd instead. I'm sorry, but Milla got my $$$! LOL

Good night all. Old man needs his rest. Did not get to bed until this morning. Then didn't sleep good in strange bed [you'd think as much traveling as I have done, it would not matter]. Was reclinerizing and snoring [per wife, don't believe it]. Wife is running me to bed so she can watch TV in peace.

Dr. John, batten down the hatches. Cold and windy here. Grayson reported the same is headed for Savannah area. Bet it gets down your way.

All you giz with snohio, will send Mayor's official helicopter with the JD snow blowers that I bought for layout. :p

Buckeye, good luck to your team running around in Reb colors. :thumb:

Good night all.

G'Night Sir James, G'night Chief, I'm also tired and have to go to work tomorrow (sigh, maybe I would retire in 15 or 20 years or so, but I think that you retired guys are busier than I am?!), but I'm waiting for the dryer to buzz. TTFN

Been busy today, had a fun day working in the train room.

Finalized all the wiring for the new Flatscreen in the bar area of the train room. Can now play video, DVD, Cable TV, and any of the game boxes. All wires secured and concelled. Watched Rose Bowl while finalizing, was hoping that Illinois would be a surprise and pull it off, but no luck. They wern't even a challenge.

Relocated and mounted TIU, and 2 AIU modules. They are now mounted under the layout attached to the frame. Now have a definite end place for wiring, was a major achievement. Control panel now begining to come alive. Have Legacy base on top of layout for now, kinda like the lights.

Going to be hard getting the 15 minutes in tomorrow. Need to go to the club tomorrow night.

Sounds like everyone had a great day!

Hey all:wave:
I'm supposed to be in school right now, but here in the part of SNOHIO:winter1: I live in, a snowfall of 1 inch and continuing has finaly caused my school district to give out a 2-hr delay (on the first school day of 2008 no less!:woot1:) I didn't know that untill I'd waited at the bus stop for about 5 minutes, though:rolleyes: Now I've got 90 minutes to kill:mrgreen:

Good morning folks

It was 31 F and windy this morning. Today is the warm day for the rest of the week. We will be in 20s and the teens tomorrow and Friday. The fun and easy commute to work is over as the roads were full of the usual assortment of idiots this morning. It would be nice not to get almost run off the road by some cell phone talking, breakfast eating, putting on make-up moron. Can you guess what almost happened to me on the way to work? Thank heavens I keep the brakes in good shape.

I continued weathering the trucks on the coil cars. I also sealed the wheels for the coil cars.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all from a freezing Chicago where I am back in the office --- sigh.

I've played Railway Tycoon, Brutus, but preferred just to run trains. I loved the kid's Lionel computer game from eons back.

I got even more done last evening whilst watching the Illini get trounced. Painted the new brake van a chocolate brown. Tried to glue the broken coupler. Weathered Harold's flat car. Put the roof and door on the hydrocal kit and painted it. I'm not going to put the sign on the roof though. I haven't figured out what I want to make it into... Can't wait to try Percy and Thomas' new couplers.

Will have to wait though. Have to go watch drama rehearsal tonight for Sunday services - I'm video directing.

Yep, it's cold in Dixie today. Current temp is 28 degrees with a chill factor of 9 degrees - that's a bit chilly for these parts! At least it's clear with no icy, slippery stuff. Supposed to be colder tonight.

Got our Christmas decorations down yesterday. Son heads back to Birmingham tomorrow. Oldest daughter has a break until the end of January before she heads back. The wife went back to work today (Nurse at junior high school) and younger daughter goes back to high school tomorrow.

Morning all. Been just sitting around drinking coffee and watching TV. Made sausage [like a hamburger patty] and egg sandwich with plenty of mustard. :thumb: Now to gt going. Real cold and windy [Yankee weather :curse:]. Got to run to Lowe's and then Town Hall. I see Oink Oink is back to his old tricks. Maybe I should call his employer [who I know] and ask if they know he is spending so much time on the computer and not working??? NAH  Got meeting with Wake Co Schools at my office at 3. Need to get there and do some work too. Letters to write. Have a good one.

Good morning all. It's cold way down Texas way too. Currently 21 degrees here. I'm headed to the lumber yard later today to get some supplies for building my layout table. I'm so glad I took the week off.

Morning Chief! Everyone else, glad to check in and see all the good news and activity here. I see Selector has popped in on the other place again. You'ld think that they would have a more cordial, less puffed up person representing Kalmbach on the forums. Anyway, looks like Buckeye is covered with the bridge. I have one on the layout....guess it was a real popular item.
Hope Y'all have a blessed day,
Dennis
