Chief, Sorry to hear about your loss. We still have not replaced the dog we lost several years ago. Wife is not sure she wants to go through the pain again.

Took a couple of pictures of the grandsons latest additions. They each bought a steer and a heifer. May be the start of a small herd.

Well, finally got caught up - cool article and nice loot, Buckeye!

Chief, very sorry to hear about your little dog. Our last pets were all fish and somehow it's easy to just flush them (at least for me), but before that I had a pet budgie for years and I cried like a baby when she passed away. I was in college when my old dog Snoopy was put down and it hurt, but not as bad as if I had to deal with it myself. Chewy is a good little dog and I know it will break my heart when she passes - hopefully many years from now.

Jeffrey, still no daily pics so I guess your home computer is still down?

Dennis - keep us posted, I think these are very cool projects.

John (jefelectric) - looks like the start of a big venture, don't let them graze on your green backyard!

some of you have talked about your movies that you have seen, i just seen where a new rambo movie comes out Jan 25th. and yes sly is in it!, looks good, i always like the other Rambo movies as a kid.

seems there a lot of the older movies are coming out with more parts now (part II, III, or whatever the next one is for that movie. they came out with a new rocky not so long ago. have not seen it yet.

I arrive home after taking the wife to the conservatory (that's a flower place for those of you in Iowa), run up the stairs and put my new locomotive from the Chief on the track. I turn on the power and all of my lights are shinning brightly. I hit ENG 1 on the CAB 1 and put some power to this brand new engine, but.....

NOTHING HAPPENS!! :confused: :confused::confused:

When I say nothing, I mean nothing. No lights, no horn, no bell, no magnetic couplers and no sounds. It will not move forward or backwards a fraction of an inch. It just sits there. Any ideas what is wrong? :?:

Wouldn't you know it, I was really excited about getting a great gift from the Chief and it is a piece of junk. :curse: I knew it was too good to be true.

Ozzy - this one does look good! The next project up for Sly is apparently a remake of Death Wish, the old Bronson movie where his wife and daughter are attacked and he goes on a vengeance spree. I think it could just be great! A lot of the "new" action stars have just fizzled in my mind. The Rock had potential, but he's doing comedy? - which is fine, but a different genre. Jackie Chan is still making great action flicks over in HK, but we don't get them in the theater and the dvds are not promoted - I guess he made some powers that be angry with his comments about American movies he has worked on.... He's just trying to save face back home I guess. Arnold has a regular job now and once they change the constitution, I'm sure he'll make a great president (lol). Next year we have a new Indiana Jones movie, another Batman movie with a really twisted looking Joker and NO Prince songs (I hope), a live action movie based on Speed Racer (a childhood favorite cartoon), Iron Man (check out the great trailer online), another Harry Potter movie (#6, which will leave just one more to finish the series), and apparently Peter Jackson is already in pre-production to make The Hobbit for 2009 release!

Oh, there is also another Bond movie coming, the 2nd Narnia movie is coming out, and an all new Star Trek movie is coming featuring all new actors as Kirk and friends are in the Academy. The guy who plays Sylar on Heroes is playing Spock - perfect casting! All he needs is pointy ears!

Oh - I just double checked and the Hobbit is set to come out in 2010 - and they are making it as 2 movies. They are apparently going to incorporate part of the story from The Silmarillion (sorry, never finished reading it, it's not as good as the other books) and The Hobbit together and turn it into 2 stories....

Hmmm - all we need is a good Train movie!!!

Came back from Miss Edna's early. Ate two country hand sandwiches and wet to sleep. Slept for 2 1/2 hours. Feel a lot better now. Wife taking down Christmas inside today. Now to get it into the attic and under the layout. BTW: was putting down the storage tracks yesterday when got interupted to go to moive. I used the black w/s sealing ribbon. Hold the tracks solid to the plywood. Beats screwing it down in limited space. Can still "pop" them up if I need too. Later

CNWMAN - looks really nice, does it have DCC?

The current James Bond is Daniel Craig. He was in the recent remake of Casino Royale and the next movie will start where that one ended. It comes out in NOvember 2008.

TomPM...Are you a member of ASHE?

I was before I got married. I dropped out because the local chapter started to get too clichish. It was becoming more the president's fan club than a good and enjoyable organization.

I am not sure if the chapter still exists. from what I heard most people eventually had thier fill of the president and her inner circle and left.

Good news about Narnia 2. Just re-watched the first Narnia movie - a great flick. Love the beginning with the HE-111s and the train scenes...

I've always liked those K-Line tank engines, Brutus.

Ozzy, O gauge just happens to be what some of us model. Speaking for me-self, I love hearing about what everyone's working on in all scales.

Oh wait, am I posting too much. ;)

Could not resist when I saw these last night in a store.

Time to feed the deer and birds. Laughing my behind off on something going on somewhere else. Funny, others feel the same way some of us do. :thumb:

i dont mind hearing about any of the scales, but i find myself coming here to talk o-scale, as this is the only place its being talked about. im just wondering if the people in other scales are getting tired of it.
