Morning all. My Grandson arrives Tuesday. Not quite old enough to do anything but stare. Hey Tom, share ordering infor on helicopter or can we send you $$$ for it and shipping. Whichever is easier.
BTW GUYS: any extra trains and rolling stock, send to Tom for Museum. Keep that in mind.
Cloudy, misty and chilly. Off to Miss Edna's. LAZ, forgot something, reload chips and also get remote on same channel as base. Remember that.

SNOHIO for Christmas. Good for Ohizo. I'm dreaming of a white Chirstmas, just like the ones I use to know. whistle, whistle, whistle.

MERRY CHRISTMAS :thumb:

I got it !!! I didn't think it would happen, it certainly has taken long enough. And everyone else it seems has had theirs for a couple of weeks. Now I will need to start learning the Legacy as well.

Of course I'm talking about a tracking number, found out my system is scheduled to arrive on the 27th. The only bad thing is I was planning on taking that day off work, but since it is being delivered to the office, I guess I will have to work that day.

Hope you guys that are traveling have a safe trip!

The helicopters are cool, a guy was selling some next to me at the last computer show. I think they were called Dragon Fly. I thought about it, but just knew I would end up crashing it into something. So thought better of it.

Merry Christmas !

John, the doll house is from "Real Good Toys" from Vermont. The particular model is the "Victoria's Farmhouse". I hope to be a bit quicker than 3 months as the three year old won't put up with that. Looks like I will be heading to buy a large bottle of white glue.

Colin, glad things went well with your surgery. You are young and should recover quickly.

Hope everyone has a blessed Christmas.
God Bless,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
That sounds like the same dollhouse that I built for the first two. I use Weldbond as the main construction adhesive, liquid nails for the roof shingles and Grandmother Stover's Stikflat Glue for the wallpaper. These are the best for the purpose that I have found. The Weldbond has a tackiness that White or Yellow glue do not have and it is incredably strong.

The one I just finished is by the same company "The Princess Anne" Here are the final pictures.

I know this isn't train related and promise to drop the subject now that it is complete.

Finally a great way to use a crane car.

Check out the top photo of CTT Page 23. At first I only noticed the beautiful Rock Island freight in the foreground of Mark Purtle's photo, but then looked at the tunnel and the bridge bent being put in place. The rock wall apears to be made of ceiling tile. With a new TMCC crane, you could really make a neat animation scene.

Morning to all from a chilly St. Louis where we have basketball, sleet and snow in the forecast.

Buckeye, I thought that was really neat, too - especially lifting that bracing for the tunnel. I guess, little by little, you could extend a bridge and add onto the layout scenery using an ongoing construction scene - this would be realistic in another way, too, as it is my experience that no large construction project ever actually ends!!!

Great pic, Jeffery - is that the Pringles factory in the background?

Great pic, Tom - nice find! I think I saw an ad for those choppers and that they run for about 10 minutes per charge, is that right?

John Baker - can't wait to hear you have smoked up your estate apartment running loads of copper from Ashlar(?)

Hey gang. Got my new Lionel NS Sd40-2 with Legacy. On the way up to the train room now. BTW: Miss Edna says she has 6 more Legacy sets coming in next week as extras [Don Baker, snicker]. She now has another NS SD40-2 and several Chessie GP somethings with Legacy. $375. Call her today. Will reopen Wednesday. Got big box of hot stuffed sausage. later

Midnight GMT in a frosty, misty Stockport.
I am pleased to announce:-
The Ashlar and Spen Valley RR is up and running, just a few tweeks on the voltage, a drop of lubrication and all will be honky-dory.

Slowly but surely bringing it together.

The video shows two trains running on the lower level and one at the top. Other than one troublesome switch, everything seems to work pretty well:

YouTube - Lionel Postwar Test Run

Once I get the tracks all fed with mutiple power feeds, I'll be able to run these at slower speed

Frank, A lot of action there. Looking good, but that warbonnet running on the top level is a little scary.
