You, Don & the Chief are starting to get me interested in this new TMCC, had hopped I could resist, but am starting to weaken. Guess the thing that might drive me over the edge would be for Lionel to come out with and engine using it that I need (want).

John, I wouldn't be surprised if you get YOUR Legacy BEFORE I get mine !!wall1

Chief....Since you know my layout, should I be considering Lionel Legacy? How does it run the SC-2 controllers?

Buckeye, they are still sitting in the boxes. After the first of the year, will hook them up. According to the book, about the same. You can load your switches, routes and accessories.

Don, we hope John does get his before you.:razz:

Deer fed. 4 came out right after I moved the truck up the hill a little. Would not come out while I stood beside the truck. I could hear a twig crack once in a while in the bush about 15 feet away. They just stand in the dark in the bush until I move. Well, they use to run away when I drove up.

Heard from John Baker today. Got his inverter I shipped. Will post when he gets it all put together. BTW: Miss Edna says my Lionel NS SD 40-2 is in. Get it tomorrow. :thumb:

Evening Gentlemen - here's some track plan progress . . .

Final refinements still being made in getting everything squared up and replacing old track with new,

I eliminated the o72 and o54 curves on the inner and outer lines in the upper left corner. By doing this I make better use of the space north of the trestle bridge and can run a road right into that area. The two lines will run at a slight angle into a tunnel portal and emerge southest of the trestle bridge.

While I wanted the bigger curves and the trains looked great on them, the sacrifice in available space was an unreasonable tradeoff. I used a half curve followed by a leading up to the portal, which seems to work fine.

The more drastic curve is concealed under the top level.

Hello everyone,
Haven't checked in in a while, so I decided to see whats up.

chief I got your email and 10-4.

I had my surgery this morning for my ACL and all went well. I have a little bit of pain, but other than that I'm all good.

Good night everyone.

Good luck on the trip, Doug and if we don't talk before then, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!

TMCCMAN - glad you got through the surgery on your anterior cruciate ligament? (ACL?). Prayers for you to heal up fast and completely!

Nice pics guys, as usual. Also like that track plan, Frank. This Legacy thing is sounding more and more interesting.... Can't wait for you guys to have it all figured out for us ;)

Went to 2 LHS's today with no luck getting scale windows/doors so will have to look into buying online. Oh well. With picking up some last minute stuff for the wife and delivering some gifts to a friend, I didn't make it to electic trains on Page, so no Ross switches to play with - Wasn't going to get to them until next month anyway, so maybe will just wait now. If I save my allowance, I can get more then anyway!

John, the doll house is from "Real Good Toys" from Vermont. The particular model is the "Victoria's Farmhouse". I hope to be a bit quicker than 3 months as the three year old won't put up with that. Looks like I will be heading to buy a large bottle of white glue.

Colin, glad things went well with your surgery. You are young and should recover quickly.

Hope everyone has a blessed Christmas.
God Bless,
Dennis

Dennis, if it's wood, you might want to try yellow glue/carpenter's glue - John, is that right for dollhouses? You are the master, sir!

I currently have orders for a pirate chest and an armoire for an American Girl doll. Actually, I can't wait!

Late up. Well, been reclinerizing. Shutting down computer. Lady from Pro Mariner chatted with me tonight. Seems they sent my pay check yesterday UPS RED. Suppose to be over night. UPS dropped the ball on this one. OH WELL. Its on the way. :thumb:
Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Morning all from a damp, chilly Stockport, temp. just above zero C, my car has changed colour from frosty white to the makers silver. No snow for the people who's nostalgia for an old Bong Crisby film is stronger than their sense of danger.
At last! I have all the bits I need to get the Ashlar & Spen Valley Rail Road running. My grateful thanks to all the guys who have helped me with material and advice. Should be running a train tomorrow, will report progress.

Morning!

Well, it is the most widely used and time proven track system of all time . . .

I've heard that somewhere...
Great Layout Frank! Noticed you only have a couple of sidings. Is that limited by the number of accessories you currently have or do you just like letting them run?

Colin: Glad thing went well! Praying for fast recovery.

Chuck: The Whistle Button is popular here too!

Don: Was Pie the Christmas Bonus? Mmmmmmmm Pie!
