Howdy from St. Louis where I think it was like 50 degrees at some point - heavy fog, I guess from all the snow and rain. Hope it's not freezing now. Off until January 2 - woohoo!

Thanks for some kind emails guys.

Going to the art museum with a school class in the morning tomorrow, then signing my boy out of school to drop off a present for a friend's niece and then shopping for a surprise for my beloved wife and maybe a Ross Custom Switch (or 2?)... TTFN

We have a 5yo and a 3yo. I made the discovery tonight that the doll house for the 3yo is not the type where you just join the 4 walls and a roof.....NO! it is about 2000 individual pieces that I have to glue and paint/sand/repaint, etc. She is getting the box with the picture, I will build it after Christmas. But oh what a time it is.
God Bless,
Dennis

That was great LOL, sign1

Regarding the letter, I hope they edited the grammer, punctuation and spelling !

Just got in, been out shopping for a 19" flat LCD TV. Chris decided HE wanted one for the "Bar Area" of the train room. Seems like a good idea too me! Took a little convincing Mom. But it all worked out. Made sure it would work with the camera I picked up at York. All Set !!!

While at the store almost bought a "Wireless Legacy control for PS2" would have been perfect. Only one small problem.....

"Featuring high-speed 2.4GHz wireless technology, this awesome axe sports a wireless effect pedal with Star Power and Whammy Bar functionality. The Legacy Guitar is designed for both lefties and righties. Start down the path towards musical excellence with this amazing instrument. Product Features

For use with PlayStation 2 "

I guess I'm just waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

'Morning all from a foggy and drizzly Crystal Lake. I greatly enjoyed finishing the Atlas switch tower kit last night for Fortner Yard - what a nice model. Hope to run trains a bit later in between packing for a brief holiday jaunt.

Thomas and Percy have been derailing on random curves lately. Not sure why.

Good morning folks

As I rolled out of the driveway it was 35 F. High will be 44 F. It looks like rain for through the weekend.

No modeling last night. We had to rake the leaves in the front yard before all the rain this weekend. I can’t remember a year where we had to rake leaves around the Christmas decorations. This is the fourth time since Thanksgiving. Usually by this time of year the trees have lost their leaves.

We would have liked to hunker down and avoid the malls but my son informed me that he must see Santa Claus this weekend. A few weeks ago he and his sister did not want to go and see Santa saying they were too big to see Santa. Now that we are down to the last weekend they changed their minds.

On the work bench I would like to weather the coil cars. I also would like to finish weathering the decks on the flatcars and perhaps begin weathering the trailers and flatcar bodies. On the layout there are details on the Farm House Area. My son has commandeered the power pack for his HO set up that he built under the Christmas tree. Actually it is his power pack. The one we had for the layout in the basement broke a few years ago and we have been using his power pack since on a “temporary” basis.

I hope everybody has a good day.

HI GIZ,
Well its official I'm on vacation for 11 days, YEAH is ME!!!! Going down to run trains later.
CHIEF on the LEGACY what do all those modules do? I inserted and downloaded the module for the BB and that works fine. But what do those 4 others do. I can't find anything in the book. I found where you can add TMCC engines,pg 41. Is that where you would plug in the module and then add youir engine? Or can I just wire up the TMCC to the LEGACY using the cord and just run my TMCC with the CAB1? Little confused? Nothing new there eh?
All have a good one,

Load generic TMCC1 steam engines and diesel engines. The blue ones are for restore. White ones have a label in the end telling you what they are. Its in the book. Got to run to appointment or I'd give you the page numbers. Don't think early versions [older than 4.0] will work.

Hey Laz, I don't want to rub it in, but this is day 2545 of my latest vacation (since retirement). Yes I do love it.

You, Don & the Chief are starting to get me interested in this new TMCC, had hopped I could resist, but am starting to weaken. Guess the thing that might drive me over the edge would be for Lionel to come out with and engine using it that I need (want).

Dennis, Sounds like you are joining the ranks of us dollhouse builders. I am just now finishing up #3, with 2 more to go to cover all the granddaughters. It normally takes me about 3 months of spare time to complete one, of course I'm old and slow. You do spend a lot of time waiting for paint and glue to dry. I started this one on Oct. 10th and it has been a push to get it done. What brand is the one you bought? If you have any questions my consultation fees are not to bad. Good luck, I am sure you will enjoy it if you like to build model structures. It may get a little old with a 3 year old asking "Daddy is it soon done?"

You will be hooked if you ever used it. You can run your old engines on it. They do have one that you need. NS SD40-2. :thumb: Mine was suppose to be here this week per Miss Edna. Maybe pick it up tomorrow. Christmas shipping might have held it up.

My 45 day old pay check from Pro Mariner was suppose to be here today [over $1,000]. No signs of it and UPS has already been by. They are suppose to pay me in 10 days. Office screwed up. They may have lost an employee.

I did have one delivered at 8PM one time on special delivery truck. They screwed up and did not get it on the Rolesville truck that morning. If so, will not do me any good after 5:30 PM as State Employees CU uses State Gov't holidays and will not open until Thursday of next week.wall1

Off to Town Hall to sign some checks [not mine ].
