Kurt - your work is great. I don't know how you manage to get the ground cover looking so good...but if you keep posting pictures of it - I'll be able to copy it a lot easier!

No, no, no, no, no

Kurt, that picture is terrific, but without a driver, you don't ever, ever never, park a '55 chevy on tracks!!:curse::curse:announce1

I know, I know, I just hoped no one would notice, that there was no driver – I am still working on it....:eek:ops:. You guys look much to closely at pics :mrgreen:. BTW, it is a ’55 Chevy.

Thank you guys, for your kind words.

Herc, there is nothing special to my ground cover. It is a 60/40 mixture of very fine granite (almost a powder) and sand. I add a bit of powdered soil to that mixture. After spreading this mixture on to the layout, I sprinkle on some dirt from the garden or ground up oak leaves before I glue it all down.

The 614 is an amazing engine. :thumb: I wish someone made a nice plastic model of it in HO scale. One of my favorite 4-8-4 designs.

Hi everyone, nice pics. It seems there are a lot of C&O lovers here, so this one is for you! Gotta love those dual pumps on the smokebox front, and the narrow door between them. The folk who had to clean the flues must have loved them! The bell above and headlight below, those number boards, C&O steam sure is one of the most attractive around.

hello all---gary,the C&O sure had good looking locomotives :thumb:.It seems all railroads' steam engines had features that set them apart and gave an individuality of their own---here's a couple of shots of steam power which highlight cn's uniqueness

I've never posted any photos of my trains so here you go something to ponder about my trains

A rare Amtrak SPD40F leads "Amtrak 503 Extra" around the Christmas tree while A Southern Pacific Daylight F7 awaits numbering sitting on a side track.

An A.T. & S.F. Caboose trails the Christmas Special.

If anyone wants to see any photos of my other trains just ask I'll be glad to show some more

Also I just have two tracks circling my tree with some Life-Like Snap track though the outer track is wired I have yet to get a coupler onto my SP F7 because I have no coupler boxes wall1 So for now it just sits while the Amtrak Extra Passenger train circles the tree.

Catt

Something old.One I built and one I bought.:)

This one I bought on Train-Bay several years ago.It is an old ATLAS/Mehano SD45 shell on a streched KATO frame.I don't know much about it except it runs like a KATO should.

This one I built. The hi short hood is the rear hood off of a junker LifeLike GP38.The rest is pure KATO.If I were to do this again I would use the SD35 short hood from ATLAS that way I could mount the bell in it's rightful spot.

Something new (started today)

This one will get CNW yellow and green with a blue patch on the cabside with GVR on it.

Sorry about the sucky pics. :(
