Hello All!

Dennis- I'm sorry about your Mom. I'm sure many prayers are said for her. Doug M- I like the photo of your son in the leaves. Frank53- I hope you never invite Gomez Addams over to your House. He would get a bang out of those Trestles on your Layout! Nice Progress on your layout though! Take Care all.

Let's this if this works, this is my best buddy, always ready to run Thomas and add people with animals. Not sure why I have my big layout downstairs---this one seems to work very well:mrgreen:

Wow nice photos of the young ones. Even that young man from Snow-hio with the bandanna and engineer's cap.

My nephew Brian is getting some trains from Uncle Bob this year. bought a loop of FasTrack at York and dug out some rolling stock and a plastic C&O Steamer that I had stored away. That and a 1033 transformer should be a fun deal for the little guy. We will have to set it up in the basement up on a table due to feline interference. (Cats are too fat to get up on the table.) I can't wait.

Busy day at work. Not much else to report.

Grandkids are great. My train buddies are now my 4 & 6 year old granddaughters. All of the older ones have lost interest in trains.
Still have one, 1 year old coming along to play trains with. :yep:

Still a little bit of snow on the grass, but most is gone, supposed to get up in the 60s on Wednesday. I hope! Still have a little pond work to do before Winter settles in for good.

Don't think I mentioned that as a volunteer at the TCA Museum Library I received a Lionel Christmas box car with Special thank you lettering. Will post a pick when I take it out of the box.

Great pictures guys except the black and white of some boy in an engineer's cap.

Posted this on CTT but want you guys to see it. thought I did pretty good on this one.
Meeting over. CC meeting went until 6 PM. I got up and thanked the County Planning Director for her meeting held in Roseyville. Actually County Manager made her do it. That made her feel good. Then I told of a bad article the big newspaper [New and Observer] did Saturday. Reporter completely misquoted me [everyone knew it as it was opposite from what I have been "preaching" all along. Well, I told the Commission mabe it was like the guy in the cell phone commercial that call gets dropped while asking his wife something and he thinks she is speachless. They laughed. I told them I did not think he was on a cell phone. It was PPR. An elderly County Commissioner [who I knew would ask this] said what did PPR mean. In a low voice into the mike and with out a smile, I said, "**** Poor Reporting." The room cracked up in total laughter. During the break, she came to me laughing and said, "Knowing you I should have known." Rest of County Commissioners meeting when initials were used, they would repaeat the full name and say, Mrs. Ward, that is for you. So, I brought a little humor to the meeting.

Train room tomorrow. Rest now. Earned my Town salary today. Think I've pulled off at thing that the Town has been wanting for some time and was being blocked. We'll see. County is now on my side.

Ialso posted this in ctt but will here also and for those who don't know I had a defibrilator put in my chest a year ago last april and the maker issued a somewhat of a recall that I had to have it checked because of a possible bad lead and so when I went this is what i found out also

Talked to one of the nurses at the doctors office today (from almost 2 weeks ago well I was wondering about all that blood work they did now I remember from my last time (when I lived in VA.) my cholestrol was like 210 with the bad type around 110 (my personal doctor said it was a little high for him but knows cardioligist(SP) like it around 70 or less) most doctors say 100 or less. well the nurse told me mine was at 81 that means I drop about 30 points okay 29 for the rivit counters. and my blood sugar looked great it was basicly in the middle between low and high and that was right where they wanted it.

Now my blood pressure was up the other day but they think it could of been with all the stress /I've been under prior to that day so they said well look at it a few more times and see in the future it wasn't real bad but it was up higher than they liked. Well it looks like I'm going to be alright and that with the lead all they did was reset it to were it was more sensitive to its readings.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers. Mom is still in the hospital, they have some deciding to do. She has a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. They will need to do surgery to repair same, but her white cell count is up from a virus she was in the middle of when going to the hospital. She had been very dehydrated and so they are working on that and it has her feeling much better. AAA repair is common and I have been part of many such surgeries. Usually no problems, of course it beats when they rupture which can be a big problem. So, glad we found this out and can handle electively.

As to the photos and the fun everyone has been having with kids and grandkids, isn't that what makes this such a great hobby....we can pass it along and to see the smiles in their faces only builds our excitement too. I won an auction for a Thomas "G" scale train set a few months ago. Had already purchased one when my son was 6 months old, but I got this second set for about what the track would cost.

Frank 53, your layout is coming along and looks like a masterpiece in the making. I know you will love running those post war babies on it. You seem to enjoy the building so much, I wonder, will you be satisfied once it is done? Or, will you start over and build a bigger one? and on and on....

Roy, if you really enjoy the building of layouts, we can make a deal, I will fly you out, my bride will cook some fine southern quisean, and you can have fun completing a layout that has taken far too long to do. Just kidding, I really do like the work I have seen of some of your craftsmanship though.

Hope everyone has a blessed night.

Evening all!

Another warm one here today - but Buckeye is sending us some nice cold weather for Thanksgiving. For once it will be appreciated as the last few Thanksgivings here have been in the 80's and it doesn't seem like the holiday.

Dennis - thanks for the compliment. Just think if all of us were in one place, we have one heck of a club and one heck of a club layout!

Great pics of the grandkids all!

Regards,
Roy

Good Evening - got up nearly to 80 today, what's with that? I sent the kids to school in heavy coats too. Son had scouts tonight and took about 2 hours to read all the emails and stuff.

Dennis, I pray your mom gets the best care and gets well soon. Prayers to all who need them and thank God that RT is okay too!

No trains tonight, but those pictures seem to have satisfied my hunger for a while - great pics guys, thanks for sharing the photos and the "heart" behind them. What a great hobby!

Hello everyone,
It's Colin here from CTT. I'm typing this late as I should be asleep, but for some reason, I cannot. I'll update all my info later.

First off-----Prayers for your mom, Dennis. From what I have seen so far we have many good photographers here. I especially like the photo of the Reading RS3. Jeffery, I love that photo of the two locos side by side. RT, by any chance do you have an elevated line that you use to run your trains? Sorry if you already told everyone.

Well, good night everyone.
