Bang!! LOL Just kiddin'. :)

I'd say the easiest one to start is the Defender. The Mining Ship is also a pretty beginner friendly model too. The current Galactica from the new series is a little sharp in places where as the screen version isn't so much. We'll be doing a new NEW Galactica and Pegasus model later this year hopefully.

As for thickness of card, for ships, I use 160gsm card. Though for smaller parts or those that are curved alot, I use 120gsm.

Just had a look at Ragnar Anchorage. Looks pretty cool, I'll have to go back there for a closer look. :)

Hi Guys,

Jsut wanted to thank everyone who is doing all this great work. As a newbie I'm starting to get the itch to design. But first I now have a fleet to build. Only question is where to display it?

It's not card, but I started in legos, so I thought I would share this site I found. Hope you all enjoy it.

Welcome aboard coot! We'll keep you busy building for a good long while. There's no end of subject matter sign1.

Those lego ships are way cool! I'd never seen those before. I have a six year old son who's totally in to lego and we're always building little stuff (when I'm not too busy paper modeling ;-) ). Now I can look forward to bigger and cooler things as he gets older

Interceptor?

I'f just started on The Colonial Defender.
And as allway roaming the internet I found this link, perhaps some of you know them.
But here they are all.

There are "cool" images of the TOS and TNS from Battlestar Galactica.

Hey! Where'd that ASP Interceptor come from? I LIKE IT! We gotta have one of those in our collection! Anybody got the mesh?

Sjsquirrel, no I don't have that only those images..
But if I got it right whit the trueSpace program, I could make it in a 3d?
I got the free version, Let's see in the weekend what I make of it.

The ASP Interceptor, I think they misplaced that on.
I'll think it belongs to the TOS not in the TNS and are they official ore just ad them.
Don't know, never seen them before

One question, how do you got the scale, ore is every ship on his own scale?
I mean it would be nice wen the fleet is completed that the proportions are the right ones.

withe varing sizes of the ships it would be impractical to have them all the same scale.if you pick the smallest ship and make it at a manageble size, then the bigger ships like galactica wouoldnt fit in your house.

Oké, not a viper and it hasn't be to the milimeter(inch).
But kind off like the movers and colonial one I'll think they are the smallest.

Just thinking out load;
But wen you make rooms in the Galactica you don't neet a house.
