Just a slight request... Could anyone who has built these models give an indication of their final size so we can know what sort of scale each of them are in... They seem to be very nice subjects for building an entire air fleet.

Just an update, I decided to go ahead and start on my next model without a majority vote, simply because I felt like I was doing nothing. Please go ahead and keep voting, so I know what to do after this.

Anyway, I'm currently working on (Dragos will like this) the MiG-37 Ferret. This is another one I already have in plastic, but really want in paper. Because there are so few references, I will have to rely heavily on the model, and this will be another model I have to draw by hand. The odd angles on this one will make design tricky, so I would expect this to take a little longer than some of my other designs. I also really want to release three different color schemes for it, black, lighter gray, and a blue "Flanker style" paint scheme.

Don't let me get distracted and forget to do them please!

Ok, small update:

I've finished the parts. It was actually very easy, as always, a lot easier than I expected, but it seems like it was even easier than most of my other models. I haven't built the prototype yet, so who knows if it actually works, eh? I am relatively confident it will go together well though.

The parts look like they'll end up making a model about 6 inches long. The majority of my models are between 6 and 12 inches. I've left a good deal of the detail to the texture for the MiG-37 so far. The gear wells are supposed to be elongated pyramids, but for this model they're only flat lines. They're the largest of the details I've left to the texture, so I may try to make parts for them if it doesn't look right without them.

Meanwhile, I've also decided to create a fourth color scheme when the model is done, though that one will be a surprise. Once again, please make me release all five (including the uncolored) versions! If you all nag me about it (and point to this post so I don't get angry ;) ) I'll do so, otherwise, I'll be too tempted to move on to the next model, which would be a shame since there are so few versions of this model out there.

I will give you all a clue about the fourth paint scheme; you've seen it before, and it would be completely fictional (though thats mostly because the aircraft never made it to production).

I might have to slap some Romanian roundels on one of the versions too, just for you Dragos! ;)

Meanwhile, I'd really like some more feedback, especially on what model you'd all like to see next.

Thats it for now, time for work.

I think this is actually the first time it went together perfectly without making adjustments. All I need to do to finish the MiG-37 before coloring is add a few tabs. Anyway, you don't want to read a bunch of junk, you all want pictures! Right?

Well here you go:

That was honestly the fastest I've put one of these together now, and I'm actually very pleased with the end result too, the fact that I drew it by hand makes it very clean, and the shape of the model is nearly perfect.

I have a feeling some of you might have trouble figuring this particular model out, because of it's especially odd shapes. I imagine the tail would be one particular area of trouble. Therefore I am going to take pictures of my builds today. I'm going to build the grey Russian version and the "Flanker" Ferret. I'll take pictures of one of them as I build it, to show you all how it should be done.

As I myself prefer the older jets it would be nice to have from your list the followings:
F-100
F-105
Canberra

and some suggestions:
U2
Vulcan
Saab 29 Tunnan
Saab 32 Lansen
F-104
Jak-23

I would build them all, and photos are promised:yep::yep:
