Well, just dropped a small fortune (about 4 or 5 nice RTR sets!) on two recliners from LaZ(not57)Boy. Sorry Buckeye, checked with my wife and she doesn't want a like-new 4Runner, but thanks for the heads up. Your cousin seems like a really good guy to do "business" with though!

;)

Would she like a John Deere tractor to mow the lawn?

My sister in Charlotte NC is very interested, esp since they can pick it up so close to home! Can you take a pic with your new camera and post it?

Well, I know what I'm getting for Christmas. I was thinking about a XBOX360, but the kids want a Wii so that's for them ;) Talking with John S last night and today and found a place called Strassburg Train Shop that still had an MTH 4-6-0 set, AT&SF from 2006. I had done a little shopping first and this was a good price compared to ebay for $90 more! Can't wait to get it. I'm pretty sure I should run it a few times to make sure it's all good before I let my wife wrap it for me  Doubt she'll let me, but I'll try!

Jim,

Are you talking the passenger set? I have one in PRR, great runner. The granddaughters love it as it smokes up a storm and has a great whistle. I assume it is PS2, I don't think they made them in conventional. You made a good choice there.

BUCKEYE, sorry bout those Buckeyes. Are you headed to Alllentown for Thanksgiving?
JOHN ELECTRIC how did the trap shooting go?
All have a good one.

Laz, How about that, your Moms birthday is the same day as mine, she does have a few years on me as I will (only?) be 69.

Trap shooting went good. I am not the worlds best shotgunner, had a 16, 17 & 18. My 12 year old grandson had a 22. At least I am a good teacher.

Good evening folks

It is 8:50 PM and it is the first time I have sat at the computer all day. The word for today is “pain”. My foot, my knees, and my legs are killing me. We had a busy weekend around these parts. My son distributed his Scouting for Food bags on Saturday and then we went flag shopping for a new American flag for our Cub Scout pack. It took three stores before we got everything we needed. Our previous flag will be properly retired/disposed of when we have a meeting with the Upper Darby Marine Corp League later this year.

On Sunday we went to Scout Night at the Philadelphia Phantoms game where our pack was one of the color guards, hence the new for a new flag to replace our old one. Today I had off from work but I spent the day Christmas shopping.

No modeling got done this weekend. I am working on a ceramic figurine for my wife. She thought it was a Santa Claus but it Father Time. I enjoy painting the ceramics because it gives me a chance to use bright colors instead of dull and dirty ones.

I hope everybody has a good evening.

Evening all. Took Airbus from US Airways that was parked at a gate. Taxied it out to I 540, then toward Rolesville. Go to one of those traffic information signs across the roadway. Would not go under as too tall. Turned around across the median and took it back. They said they would work on replacing camera after that. sign1:thumb::eek::rolleyes:
Actually real nice lady at US Airways office at airport. Dr, visit was good. Started itching while there. Dr. gave me a sample of the meds she is prescribing [and some more in a bag]. Something new and a card to call and get it discounted due to costs and being new [suppose to help with Co-pay]. Gave three vials of blood for tests. Then off to xray shoulder. That took most of the afternoon. Now to run some trains. Later

Oh boy !! Now we have an airplane borrower here !!
Brutus : just find out where she keeps it after she wraps it, then you can unwrap it (carefully) & take it down the basemnt & play with it & then wrap it right back up !! Drop little hints too, that we have to save on scotch tape this year, don't use a lot of it for wrapping !! See how simple & easy it is ? !! Ha !!
Hope everyone has a nice night !!
Thanks, John

Hey fellows, Thought I would drop in a nd see how everyone is doing.

My wife hired a fellow and with my son the remodled the room I want for a train room and did a great job of it. She will see the bench work is startted soon With TMCC I will have little trouble opperating this shelf layout and the radiosand computers she will have moved and set up there.

I will post some pics .

I am managing well now and had some minot liver surgery last week that will help me get around and maybe add some days oe months even to enjoy hos trains.

God bless you all.

Tom,
The two BBs look great, but one thing puzzles me. How will that truck with all those trailers get round the bend and on to the road overbridge?

On another issue; Today October 13 1990 an Englisman Tim Berners-Lee (inventer of the internet) wrote the first web page. Little did he realise what he had started.

Hi Guys,

Back after a several week absence! Had to tear down one of my two layouts because the wife needed storage. Moved my computer and work table into a vacated room. result was an expanded single layout. Sorry no pics, but no scanner! The new version is now 15x40. Still on DC with one pack running the whole thing. Ran an operating session toing and everything was okay. All that is left is to add some more foam board and one more spur. Then I can get serious about scenery.

Today, I'm taking the wife to her Doctor, for a follow up check. She has had less pain and slept good last night. No trains today.

Morning. Slept good too. Sunny and warmer. Need to clean gutters and get up leaves in front yard. Wife say she wants other extra bedroom cleaned out by Wed. week. Means some under the layout work to do and then pack her tubs full of decorations under it. Can do. Well, time for GRITS and coffee. Have a great day all.

Good Morning Y'all,
I tried a few times to post last night, but to no avail. I believe it is more a problem with my router, but we will look into that.

Chief, hope you get some satisfaction....without getting arrested!
Chuck, glad wife is feeling better. If she is having any problems that she has told you of, make sure you go in with her to the Dr. and mention it. Many times folks "forget" to mention any troubles to the Dr. Not sure, maybe they don't want to bother them. Women are the worst with living with pain, they take a lot.
Gil, Glad you are doing better and that you will have a layout soon.

Dr. John, tried to post to you too, our production is on hold till after Thanksgiving as one of the camera men was killed in a car accident. His wife is expecting the first child...sad. I posted on the CTT forum, but have not seen you there lately...I understand.

CSX John, Have kept you and the family in our prayers too. Hope all is well.

It is great to be here. From the looks of the latest threads over on CTT, it is getting to be more like OGR....nasty.

God BLess,
Dennis
