2 best friends came over, Dave and JOhn, with famlies for chili dinner and some cold ones - had a great time and ran the HWX with smoke! John's daughter was way preemie and a real miracle she is with us. She loved the choo choo and tried to catch the little smoke rings, pretty funny! No Pile-Ups! No Grits either! I would have eaten them though! MTH "coffee" smoke worked fine. Added me new never before run Spooky Smoke car and th smoke was only so-so, I think I needed to add more, but didn't want to overfill. The light effects are pretty cool! Nice, heavy, solid car. Left-over cake and icecream for anybody that want's to drop by - yummy

Just got off of the phone with US Airways Preferred Customer Supervisor. Some D--- SOB New England YANKEE employee of their's stole my digital camera and extra chip. I started looking because I knew the luggage had been opened as I always zip both zipper to the middle. Both zippers were at one end. NO NOTE FROM TSA. I could tell they had been through my bag. Picked up the webbing camera case and it colapsed They left my rechargerable batteries but took the extra chip that was in the other compartment. This is going to COST US Airways. Even Ohizo Yankees do not steal from your luggage. I got to the airport 2 hours early in Hartford. It went from the Hartford flight right inrto the RDU plane while in Charlotte [the Hartford plane arrived in Charlotte at the gate next to RDU and they were already loading the luggage as only a 30 minute layover]. Someone had to go through my bag as it was under a big coat, Pro Mariner soft brief case, clothes and shoes. Supervisor is filing complaint but asked me to return to the airport tomorrow and file a claim too. Going to Dr. tomorrow afternoon so will go from there. Well, time to eat dinner.

laz57: we're pretty relaxed here about pix. If you start a thread in the wrong sector one of the moderators may move it if it's really wrong (Lionel stuff in the N forum), but the categories are broad enough that some things could fit in several.

Some D--- SOB New England YANKEE employee of theirs stole my digital camera and extra chip.

This morning I have a nice digital camera with an extra chip for sale. It was given to me by my uncle's second cousin from Connecticut. Unfortunately all the instructions are in a foreign language, Suthern. :roll1:

Let's see, Buckeyes = loss, Michigan = loss, Browns = loss, ND = Loss, Purdue = Loss, IU = Loss, & Bengals = Win. The world is certainly coming to an end.

Cleaned the train room and now need to start wiring the new switches to the controllers. Wire and test, wire and test. SC-2s are temperamental.

Fishing - With the weak American dollar and gas prices projected to head upward, our annual trip to Canada is not a bargain anymore. :canada1: Any suggestions as to fishing lodges in Michigan?

Chuck, did you fire that Chef of yours? How's Momma?

A big salute to all of our Veterans past and present. We thank you. :patriot1:

Stayed up too late talking with a good friend about trains via emails, then had to get up and take kids to school. Off today and will drop off truck at Chevy for a service and go to LAZ(57)boy for new recliners to replace recliner loveseat. Going for the Big Seat style! That way, if Chief ever visits we can make him feel at home, since he practically lives on airplanes. Chief, are you going to cut back on the trips now that you have a day job back home?

Great pics Tom and Jeffrey, thanks

Morning. Use to carry camera in brief case. Switched to laptop case. Now on room for it so been packing it in roller bag. Never had a problem for over a year now. Got Dr's apt to talk about bad left shoulder and allergic reaction. Then to airport to steal an US Airways jet in place of my camera. Fair trade don't you think?  No, going to file a face to face complaint to go with the one over the phone last night. Want to run trains [especially Big Boy] before I hit the road to Raleigh and RDU Int. Later

BTW: Buckeye, I hope we are not kin. That same uncle's second cousin is trying to sell me a snowblower [better check you garage].

Buckeye....The wife got up today and fired the cook. Man, am I glad.:thumb:
She has taken over the kitchen. I slaved over a hot stove, for days, making those TV dinners. No thanks expressed.

Chief....Don't take any hostages.

Well, just dropped a small fortune (about 4 or 5 nice RTR sets!) on two recliners from LaZ(not57)Boy. Sorry Buckeye, checked with my wife and she doesn't want a like-new 4Runner, but thanks for the heads up. Your cousin seems like a really good guy to do "business" with though!
