Thanks

About the reference pics, which SJ uploaded some posts back, the colonial ref means a refinery ship. The tube transport ship's name is Daru Mozu.

I know that because I have all these ships, but from files converted to Star Fleet Commander .MOD format, and there they have their complete names :)

Thanks shiftdel - I'll update my pics.

Hey nothing, can you fire me a copy of that resurrection ship as well? I'm still picking away at the Platform ship for you. Should be ready this month

Nothing, Good news. I've uploaded the small Celestra. Just hang 5 until it's passed through moderation. The original instructions apply to both versions. :)

No worries.Hope it's Ok. How big will the mining ship be after you've scaled it down 50%?

SJ, how do things go at your end? You said you'd be away from this for a while?

Still pluggin

I'm still pluggin away on cleaning up the platform ship. That is going to be one excellent model. It's at least as detailed as the Celestra, and provides a few more challenges to the builder I think. Right now I'm still doing general cleanup and handling intersections, then I'll add some reinforcements here and there.

I've actually not had much cardmodel'ing time lately. I've been buidling three of Dr Zarkovs spitfire models from ML Cardmodels, but they're giving me some trouble. I find it hard to get good results from this kit. I'm trying to finish those for Christmas gifts, but I finally gave trashed one and went and printed out Nobi's Spitfire. I'll see how that works out. My other dev projects have just been stalled. So many models, so little time....

Nothing, that mining ship is looking great. These meshes are turning into fantastic models, and you sure know how to do them justice when you build them.

As am I. I've had this fleet pack on my hard drive for a while now, kept opening them up to see about making them in paper but no joy until now. This is great, though as you know I'm really excited about redoing the hero ships. I can't wait to have a three foot Bucket and Beast in my house!!

To be fair though, yes, SJ's done a great job, but a model is only as good as the guy who builds it. You can have a beautifully designed model but terrible building skills and do it no justice. I know I make plenty of booboo's. :)

Take the pat on the back Nothing! You do these justice. SJ's work is not in vain when you build one of these. Simple. ;)

I'd just like to see more pics from others.

i found a slight problem with the mine ship. the front spar intersects the front disk.
Untitled-1 copy.jpg
i think ill have to trim the disk cause if i trim the base part down the gear wont be even. or i could trim the spar itself.

Yeah, you're right. Sorry Both SJ and myself missed that one. I'd trim the spar. It'd be easier to measure out and cut.

Sorry again buddy. Could you photo document it and post the fix method here? It's be handy for other builders to use as reference.

HI guy's. It's been a bit quite for a few days in the thread.

I thought I would get into the groove with you new BSG guys, so I went out and bought series 1,2 and 3 boxset. I have seen a quite few episodes on sky, but I thought I would watch them all. I just need to find the time now.

I am glad that christmas is coming soon I get 3 weeks off work, I think I might actually get some sleep then.
