Remember...it's for fun!
The sun is setting and dusk falls over Kingsport. The giant light bulb on the Mid River Power and Light company's sign just lit up for the night. Its a local landmark. :)

I was just in a mood to mess with the color, contrast and brightness controls!

Trainnut: Did you paint all those colors on that steeple? It looks incredible. I don't know why I haven't noticed it before.

Greetings all,
I've been looking around this site for a while and thought I'd get in on the fun. Great photos everyone. Hope you like mine. Here at Logan Yard an SD20-2 and SD35 are earning there keep pulling a cut of grain cars from the yard.

The engine terminal is especially crowded today with several Penn Central and Chessie units awaiting assignment. All C&O and PC units were custom painted by me.

Yep, I sure did... stone by stone. This kit did not go together very well. The pieces are warped and they just did not fit right. After a lot of work, I still had big gaps at the corners. Soooo, I took wall joint compound, filled in the corners, and painted over the top of it. You can see a glaring example of one of those corners on the tower. The whole building could probably still use a coat of dullcoat. This is one of those buildings that "moves" around on my layout. I still have not quite figured out where it's final resting place will be. It looks pretty good here but it adds a nice varation to the roofline where it was at in the last picture. Who knows where it'll end up next week.

Yep, "foamers" is a somewhat derisive term for railfans...as in "foaming at the mouth" over the equipment. :)

Is that another term for railfans? I've not heard that one yet. That does bring up an interesting shot idea that I will have to try for next weeks photo fun.
