Boba? I've actually done a Boba helmet as a papermodel. It's not 1:1 scale but could be scaled up to be. :) That was my third ever papermodel design I think. It's currently being hosted at Jon Leslie's site.

Sorry Bazooka for the hijack, I didn't mean to. :) I wondered, after the Cylon, do you have plans for a Viper helmet? That would be a cool addition no?

Back to the Armour

Although I want a Leaf Erikson space ship in a card model.
lets go back to the Cylon Armour Bazookajo has made the back pack (check it out BazookaJo - Paper Models)
and I have started to cut the parts out off aluminum for a metal.

I love it  Aluminium backpack looking damn good so far.

I heard the original BSG TV Cylon suits were just chromed vacuformed plastic - not sure about the movie armour... Could this be the first ever metal Cylon suit?

Doing them in metal was my first thought when I saw these patterns too. The Cylon really lends its self well to metal because the angels and curves arent too harsh.
Keep us updated with your progress!

16 gauge and I had to wait for the drop off from a low product run.
so bazookajo how about an update on the front of the cylon ( chest armour )

E

ekuth

Bazookajo and I have been working diligently to iron out the difficulties in the design of the chest. Last I heard from him he was still piecing it together.

I'll keep you posted as things progress...

Cool, I'll have to check the local supplier. With this armor and ekuth's circuit, I'm sure this would go over big at WonderFest.:thumb: Whoot!

I may leave that one for the up and coming newbies to have a crack at

Still working on the chest peice BTW - real busy ATM with other domestic stuff, but I keep doing bits when I can. Shouldn't be too long now. Ceta plans ready and an for mid March I reckon

After the chest, I'm hoping things will get easier....

Paul.

Looks good Red. I need something machined, what's your rate?

Sorry Im not a machinist.
What you have seen is a old wood lathe that my grandfather threw out and my dad dug out of his dads backyard and hodge podged it back together, he used an old two speed washing machine motor and made his own headstock and cutting bits from allen wrenches it is almost impossible to get persition out of it.
Well I think I have the spokes of the Greeble.
Have to do some more work on it.
