There was a minor derailment at the west turnout to the #2 track today. Photos are now available. There were no injuries and property damage was negligible.
Thanks Wayne. That derailment occured when I accidently tripped the turnout while leaning over the control panel. I was working on another part of the layout at the time.
That's correct! There were only two orders for RS-32's, one from the NYC, and the other from the SP. Only 35 RS-32's were built, with the NYC getting 9 of them. The Rs-32's would survive into the Penn Central, and then Conrail before serving their last RR, the CNW. All 9 were scrapped by 1986 (except in my layout, 4242 would survive and now continues to serve Riverside:mrgreen As for the reefer, it was the first kit I ever built, but it seems to derail often for some reason, and so that's why it's on the sidings in most of my pics. I do not know the history of the actual prototype of the car, just that it was part of the NYC's 'Early Bird' service.

Ahhh, what a mighty fine birthday! I didn't get much, a new book, "Intermodal Railroading" and a new Genesis SD70M, UP. I'm working on painting all the details from a DW UP SD70M detail pack, including a new plow. Got 3 fire engines in the mail, that I ordered over 2 months ago too.
