Cab units huh? Well I don't have any matching multiple cab units, but thanks to a visit from the club members last night, I now have multiple cab units on the layout!

BTW, 88, can you give us an update on 'The-Gauge' boxcar you have? I'm very interested in obtaining one of those unique cars...

I've been working on getting my HO GP50 ready for my fictional road, the Midland Gulf Railway (MGRy).

First was the preparation. I removed all window glass, lenses and number boards.

The next step was to lay the cab and body out for painting.

After two light coats, I allowed it to dry thoroughly.

While the paint was drying, I was printing the decals out on airmail paper.

The decals are cut out and set aside.

The roadname decals are applied first.

Followed by the cab numbers and number boards.

The body and cab are finally reunited with the chassis.

That's it for now.

Jeffery,

I love the pic with the cut out pieces... and the battery, the dremel disc, plaster and the odd screw and plastic piece... reminds me of my own benchwork/work area.

Nice to know I am not the only one with a 'lived in' workspace.

SOU is for you!!
Does this count as a cab unit??

This is Southern's first Sd80MAC and hopefully the first of many more. The other Southern locomotive is my SD70MAC. It looks like I need a SD90MAC now to finish out the 70-80-90 punch.:D

Remember...it's for fun!
Looking a bit like the Juice Train, a string of Kingsport & Western 50 footers cross Railroad Ave. at the town of West Mill.

Another great week of pics.

Its not an "F", but its the only cab unit I have.

As long as it's a cab unit, it's fine:mrgreen: BTW, have you made the 'The-Gauge' boxcar display worthy yet? I'm interested in having one on my layout, and so far your Gauge boxcar is the only one I am aware of that is on any layout.

Now I'm AMP'd

Sorry CNW.
The Gauge boxcar was a total loss. But I do have a covered hopper and a 65' mill gondola if your interested. or, as I have done before was paint and decal a couple for other members.

Well, that's a shame, really would've liked to have it run Riverside's rails, but things don't always work out. That covered hopper looks really nice, and considering my grain operation, would look really spiffy in operation. I'll have to see what I can do. Thanks for showing me your 'The-Gauge' stuff, but now I want one even more too!:p
