Josh, where is your grandmother getting those prices?? Dude, I need her to get me the "lowball" hook-up too!

And shouldn't she be getting you ballast, track, DCC, scenery materials, for the new layout instead of locos and rolling stock?

sign1sign1 It was actually off of a post here on the Gauge in the buy and sell forum. I found the list and saw the prices and couldnt pass it up, heres the thread: http://forum.zealot.com/t151911/ Hes still got a lotta stuff, I just nabbed most of the modern locos and boxcars he had, hes got a lotta old diesels and passanger stuff. Might want to check it out and e-mail him if he still has any of it available. Im sending the check out to him today

Ill have to wait until I get them, they should be here sometime within the next 2 weeks since he has to wait till a thursday to ship them (my grandma works at disneyland and her days off are only monday and tuesday and she doesnt want the box sitting on the porch all day lol). Ill open em up and snap some pics when I get em tho and post em in this thread, its going to be hard to put em all back in the box after im done looking at em tho lol, have to wait till christmas to have em

Hey Deano, is yours a snoot nose small SP lettering?

If so, I have one with large speed lettering to trade if interested. Mine is getting re-painted into my Home Road, so I am not concerned with the paint scheme, so if Speed lettering is what you're looking for, then hit me up and we can swap. Mine is new in the box.

hahaha no problem :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I saw the ATSF stuff too but after everything else I wanted I was already at my budget of $300 hehehe so I had to let them go.

My new layout is being put on hold lol due to a $300 fone bill wall1 :curse: :eek:ops: :eek:ops:. Plus my parents are going thru the final stages of divorce and my dad and I have not yet moved into the new house. I just got a job at Lowes so I ill be able to get all the materials needed for the benchwork for cheaper too   . Im going to start building the benchwork in 2 weeks when I get my first paycheck. Im also going to have to special order the Blue/Pink insulation foam board used as the base on layouts as they dont stock it here in CA, instead they have the very messy white insulation foam board that is not extruded and as a result makes a HUGE mess when cutting and carving.

Hey Josh, I use that dense foam from the art stores (Michaels) sold here in CA. You can get it 2" thick or 1' or 1/2 " in black, white or green. No mess at all with that. It does cost more, but how much do you really need. It comes in 36" lengths by 12". I carve it with one of those hot wire tools. They have various attachments that have several configurations and shapes. You can do anything with those, make mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, etc. Then I use latex paints for the final touch. bob

Thanks Bob, I saw those at Michaels too. But I would need enough to cover my hole layout in it lol. That would cost a fortune hahaha. Plus the Blue/Pink Insutation foam board comes in 4'x8' sheets and comes in 3/4", 1", 1 1/2" and 2" thicknesses.

Thanks for the suggestion tho  :thumb:
