Wow, Jeffrey, with that new camera, you've really got your model photography down to a fine art! That's some great modelling, too. ;):-D:-D

Seriously, though, a nice picture and well-composed. I've noticed a marked improvement in your technique now that you've got a decent camera to work with. :thumb::thumb:

Here's what I found happening on the Riverside RR today:
000_00029.JPG

My BL2 waits on the siding as my F3 #4056, FA2 #6750, and B23-7 #1992 haul a local. Originaly it was just #1992 hauling the freight but apparently it experienced a mechanical failure and was blocking the mainline outside Riverside. #'s 4056 and 6750 were hauling another local 1950 A-A style when they received the call to go pick up #1992 and its freight. Because time was of the esscence, the two A units stayed together and brought in #1992...

..While RS-32 #4242 switched the spare yard. Apparently all the engines were working hard today, save one; Riverside # 1116, which has had a prolonged stay in the sheds due to the restoration projects of #'s 6750 and 1845. However, the guys allowed me to look at their progress at what they've finaly done since painting the engine. They let me take pics, too. Here's the progress so far:

Let me know what you think of my work so far;)
BTW Deano, the crew of Riverside says hi to Big Ed and the rest of your crew:thumb::mrgreen:

Keep the pics commin folks!

Was out walking the dog Sunday morning, when I heard the familar sound of CNE's C44-9W coming into town. Running down a side street, I was able to catch the nose coming from behind an old coal dealer.
Okay, the engine is definitely a model, and the buildings behind it and on the left could be. The foreground, oddly enough, is what looks impossibly real. The pavement is too convincing.

Nazgul, I really like your whitewater on the falls, what did you use, cotton? A lot of really nice photos, too many to make mention of. But I do want to say how innovative I thought it was to use an optivisor as a close up lens. What a nut. The cars look great, btw, but that is to be expected, eh?

Well, if you're looking for another picture...

Here's a tunnel motor in the morning sunshine behind Johnson's factory.

Nazgul, I'm Glad Gary asked about the falls It looks very real, maybe you should do a tutorial for us.

Thank you guys:thumb:....I have a tutorial that Andrew (MasonJar) graciously put in The Academy:
http://forum.zealot.com/t116541/

The waterfall in the tutorial is not one of the falls on my layout but I made it with the same general techniques. Hope that helps.

Keep the GREAT pics comin'!!!

Thanks Nazgul, now I remember seeing that before, I'm getting senile!

Here is a shot of L&HR C420 #22 pulling out onto the new deck girder bridge on a recently completed small section of a new scene I'm working on. The new bridge replaces the abandoned wood trestle behind it. The loco is switching interchange cars at West Stockton yard.
