Well after 3 years here in Canada with my wife/partner, I have found out that my immigration paper work was done wrong. So, I need to return to the USA and start the whole process over :<
I have sold modelrailstructures to Will Anannd, and I hope you will be supportive of him! Where I am going I do not know if I will be able to stay in touch, but this is a temporary set back and I will return! Thank you for all the kind advice and friendship you guys have offered me.

Thank You,
David

Sooooooo, what you're saying is that you've just now learned that your imigration papers are done incorectly and so you must now leave Canada, leaving behind all that you own? That must suck really bad. Can't you just fill out the form again? Then again, this must be why that genie in The Fairly Odd Parents hates Canada so much...

David: I'm very sorry to hear that.
After nearly 10 years working in the USA, my wife's nephew was turned back at the border earlier this year for some irregularity in the paper work. They finally allowed him in for 2 weeks to clean out his house and put it up for sale.

Aahhhh, beaurocracy. It is nice to know, that no matter how ineptly, clumsily, or downright stupidly we may do something, we still have "government" to show us how "professionals" really louse things up!
Good luck, and I hope the "process" runs amock , and actually fixes everything quickly, and correctly.

Remember...it's for fun!
Good Grief! I hope you can get that sorted out sooner than later! I hope you are able to drop us a line befor the citizen status issue is resolved.

Being a university chap, I hate seeing hard working, super educated people forced to leave the country temporarily and then hear about how we "need" amnesty for the people that didn't bother to follow any of the laws to start off with. My apologies for stating my politics, but this stuff makes me sick. wall1

Sorry to hear that... Luckily, The Gauge is slightly more "international" friendly...

Hope all is resolved in your favour soon.

Yep, I totally agree. Sorry to hear about your troubles with the long arm of beaurocracy - sometimes I really can't understand what those pencil pushers are thinking.

Hope you get it all sorted out ASAP. Good luck!!!

Well if you have been there three years on a 6 month visa then i am not surprised they ask you to leave. And the bad thing is this mite keep you from getting back in the country. Sorry to see this happen
