Well I went out on a limb and I got my quarterback since I knew drafting a number 6 would mean no Manning. Now I just need him to be named as the starter.

Picking 6th wasn't too much fun as I expected most of my first choice were gone but I did get most of my second choices for the position.

What do I need to do to set my team up. Now since I play you first I know you will give me some good tips. :)

It was a random draft - - You might have picked first - we don't know what the draft order was...

Go to your team - when you get that list with all the arrows on the left (Positions) click the arrow next to the player on the bench you want to move... then select the position form the list...

Then pick the player at the QB position and select BN (Bench) :)

Go ALL the way to the bottom of the page and click the green bar (Save Changes)

You can only do one pair at a time and you always have to switch players in positions (WR to RW or RB to R/W etc) or players on & Off the bench

Look at the drop down arrow for all the positions and you'll see where you can move all the players.. It's really flexible...

have Fun!!! :) :D :)

Out AZ way
Easy one...I can start another league in the next few days if we can get 4 or more members right away (Before Tuesday) but it has to be an even number of players.
Well, I looked over the information, and I kinda like my concept of "fantasy" things.

I used to love football, I'd attend every school game I could, and I'd watch it every weekend. That is until we got the rash of "watch me" players dancing in the end zones and strutting around the field pointing to themselves when the do what they're paid handsomely to do.

Not to throw a damper on the game or a fantasy version of it, but they ruined the game for me and I've lost interest over the years.... I'd hate to be stuck with having to draft the likes of Terrell Owens.

I figured that part out but should I only pick one quarterback to play, etc?

The Nationals are expecting an exciting start with their new starter after his years of success at Minn.wall1

Hey I would take TO off your hands. :) When your an owner it is different. I hate him as a player but as a owner I would take him no problem. Wow I think I now understand double standards. :)

Fill Every position - with your best available players... Every position (Except for Benched players) get points...

Remember to look for byes after week 3 - -I'll try to remember to post "Byes on Monday nights for the next week...

If your player is on a team with a bye (The team is off that week) he won't get ay points - so you should bench him if possible....

Also remember to look to the right of your player's name for a little white square - that's a "Note" -- click on it and you'll get information about his playing for the next weekend.... (Injuries etc.)

There's a "fix" for that :) When you set up your draft order - one of the selections is "Exclude Player from Draft" :)

You would just exclude TO and anyone else you didn't want to draft....

yeah - a team is

2 QB Quarterback

2 RB Running back

4 WR Wide receiver

2 TE Tight end

2 R/w Running back or Wide receiver

2 W/T Wide receiver or Tight end

2 PK Place Kicker

2 Def/ST Defense and special teams

6 BN Bench (DOES NOT SCORE POINTS)

All 18 positions in bold should be filled every week, if possible... You can draft "Free agents" anytime - to fill gaps.. but you will HAVE to drop a player - you can not have over 24 players on your team.. and you can not have more than 18 playing ... (6 on bench)

This is actually the biggest roster I've ever had available on a fantasy league.

2 QB Quarterback

2 RB Running back

4 WR Wide receiver

2 TE Tight end

2 R/w Running back or Wide receiver

2 W/T Wide receiver or Tight end

2 PK Place Kicker

2 Def/ST Defense and special teams

6 BN Bench (DOES NOT SCORE POINTS)

I'll have to wait 3-4 weeks before I really make up my mind, but it seems a bit excessive. (The switch to Fox Sports is also slowing me down a bit, so that's a small factor)

I am used to rosters such as the following:
2 QB Quarterback

2 RB Running back

3 WR Wide receiver

1 TE Tight end

0 R/w Running back or Wide receiver

0 W/T Wide receiver or Tight end

1 PK Place Kicker

2 Def/ST Defense and special teams

4 BN Bench
(Sometimes 6)

The smaller roster makes you think twice, thrice, and more before starting a player. You also learn to only rely on consistent players, rather than hope that your star will have an explosive day to make up for last week's let-down. (But it is still worth keeping those players around and using them when you think they'll produce the numbers)
Oh.... and byes become VERY interesting. If you don't plan ahead a bit, you can end up like I did last year. I had 6 of 11 starters on a bye for week 7!

I see the larger roster as a big cushion to give you a reliable 'average' from week to week. With so many players, it's hard to have huge performance swings unless you provoke it with roster changes.

As I said, I still need to make up my mind. I was just throwing that out so you understand any future outbursts I may make, regarding the large roster. :p Who know's I may like it...

Good luck, and let the best Mallet win!

The reason we did it this way (Double teams) was so that it would be fun for everyone... It's supposed to end up "Close" at the end (no blow outs in the standings at the end of the season)

We're just here to have a fun diversion from our everyday problems... we agreed - when we set up the league - that it was a good idea to not have to think over and over any changes that were made to your team.

and yeah --- there still is a chance that you can have "too many" players hurt and/or on byes in the same week.. It's still a challenge...

I thought I'd try Fox again this year - the e-mail said that they cleared up the problems from last year (Slow sometimes) but they made no "Real" promises :( We'll just have to wait and see.... Remember - if it gets to be too slow - - just wait 10 minutes and most times it'll clear up....

Is anyone else having problems accessing the league? I have not been able to get in since 4:30 PM today. I click on the links and just wait and wait and wait........

I'm feeling a little stupid tonight.

Despite being evasive on the subject publicly, Raiders coach Lane Kiffin has decided on his starting quarterback for Oakland's season opener against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and the NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Josh McCown is expected to get the nod.

Well today is the biggest day and I should know if I stand an opportunity to win my first game. Good luck even though there are two games tomorrow.
