Hey Deano , that’s not fair . Each time I think that I don’t want to spend more on engines something like this FM comes up. If this P2K really has FM sound, I’ll have to apply for a budget for an ATSF zebra stripe H10-44 at my personal Ministry of Finance. Oh man, these manufacturers know how to tempt us ... :eek:ops::eek:ops:

...But seriously:mrgreen: , i know what you mean Kurt:smilie: , i seen that UP was NOT in the first run of these so i was going to pass on them:eeki: .....but that CNW unit just seems to be calling out to me:winki::mrgreen: .

i think that ATSF would be a PERFECT addition to your layout:thumb::mrgreen: . Does the "Ministry of Finance" accept bribes? :eeki: , never hurts to have a backup plan:winki::119: .

Hey Deano...I knew that CNW had caught your eye..!!!
Do you know what they mean by "opposed pistons"..?? Is it what I think they mean..?
Two pistons sharing a common chamber, working against each other..?

Gus:wav: , i know you are modeling an early period, but if there is ANY chance in fitting in a first gen diesel, THESE ARE THE ONES TO GET!:thumb:
the FM H10-44's were owned by quite a few roads, and were real neat looking:winki: . i have seen Milwaukee roads #760 MANY times, one thing about them, in model form they really don't seem that big, in real life, these engines were quite huge:eeki: ....AWESOME really:winki::mrgreen: .

the H10-44's are a MUST HAVE for ANY FM fans:thumb::mrgreen: .

Phew!, Safe, at least for the moment, they didn't release them in Long Island Rail Road paint!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

One of the lesser known benefits of modeling freelance, No one will release a new locomotive in your road's paint, so temptation is easier to resist...........not impossible, but easier.

Is this a re-release of the Walther's one, or a whole new mold? Was the Walthers one an H10-44?

Man, thats awesome!

I just wish they'd redo the US Steel loco. I missed it the first time around. Looks like I'll have to buy decals and repaint one. Thanks for the heads up.

Deano...Thanks for the info on this loco, but...for the time being my need for diesels is more than filled by the SD-7..In UP colors, of course..!!

Miles...The link to the Wikip'a article is great..!! And there are so many other links there that one could spend days just reading about diesels and related subjects..!! Thanks.
