Just wondering, which IJN card models have early type carrier born aircraft a their aircraft compliment?

Most of the IJN carriers that are available today are late type.

Any suggestions guys? Any scale will do.

I need the Early type IJN Carrier Based aircaft namely:

- White Mitsubishi A6M2 "Zero" Fighter
- White Aichi D3A "Val" Dive Bomber
- Green Nakajima B5N "Kate" Torpedo Bomber

The GPM 1/400 Hiryu would have been perfect...but it seems that it's a rare kit.

I have the Hiryu kit but it has some issues - namely some writing on the pages (NOT ON PARTS) and there is some paint on reverse of few pages.
Parts are in very good condition and the model is certainly buildable the way it is.
BTW - I received this odel like that so it is not my doing
Let me know if you are interested.

the same is true for me....
but what scale are you dreaming of?

that is, I have two loong term projects:
a full strike from Hiryu or Shokaku ( 6*A6m + 18*B5N or 18*D3A ) scale 1:100 or 1:200 as of late 1942

from Shokaku, two A6M and a B5N as in Coral Sea scale 1:50 ( with pilots, mechanics etc .... where I'll find them? )

Ahhh...a modeler with the same dream of air contingent like me :thumb:

I'll probably stick first to the 1/200...and then reduce the aircraft to make it to 1/350.

I need it for a custom project...but I need a JCS Shinano first...which seems to be eluding me these past few months.

I suggest you also try looking for a 1/200 kit with the said airwing and then enlarge it to 1:50? Or get 1/33 model kits of tyhe Zero, Val and Kate and then re-size them to 1:50? Why 1:50 anyway if you don't mind me asking? =)

1:50 or 1:48 gives a lot of detail
and I have found the A6M2 by Zarkov (1:72, rescaled) and B5N2 by Nobi to be excellent models

have only to find time ....
but also I like other models, and use them yo build up experience
my last is a F6F5-N ( carrier planes... )
before, F4F4 as in Midway battle
and so on

but

I am puzzled to find B5N and A6M in 1:200
perhaps, I think, rescale (easy) end re-color ( how? they are protected ) from Trotsky

to be more specific.....

the 1:50 models are as per Shokaku may 1942
the 1:200 are intended for the last Hiryu strike, that is:

4 a6m from Hiryu
2 a6m from Kaga
9 b5n from Hiryu, including Kobayashi
1 b5n from Akagi

the last strike from Kido Butai
