Canada, eh?
Wow, Kurt, you've certainly got this one off to a flying start! :thumb::thumb:
Here's EG&E Mohawk 4807 on a caboose hop, passing Mercury Mills in Dunnville, on her way back to home rails.

Kurt - Nice! :thumb: :thumb:

I really like the brick detail on the lounge - missing bricks, and it looks like it's an addition at some point in the building's history because of the straight seam. Plus that "fieldstone" facing with small, high window looks like an ill-advised addition (as most are) from perhaps the 1970's - although the car says otherwise.

Great stuff!

Kurt, I love your scenes!
Wayne, that goes for you too!
Tomkat, I like that scene with the switcher! I'm a big fan of scratchbuilt structures. I like the looks of that diner. Great Areotrain set! I saw a prototype at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay.

My contribution is a freight headed by an AB set of F units passing a small Boy Scout campground. While not quite this close, I did camp as a scout near the Penn Central River Divison (formerly the NYC Westshore line) and found it great during the day and annoying late at night. :)

Kurt- nice shot!
Wayne-Gotta love steam...
tomkat13- Love the switcher! However, who made that odd silver train and what type is it? M-something comes to mind...
Ralph- Love it! Reminds me of when I went camping at Red River Gorge Nat. Park in Kentucky. Did you know that the park was origionaly exclusively accesible by a railroad? (it was the L&E or the L&N, can't find the photo...) although the tracks are long gone, the main road in the area is oviously where the tracks were (it's alomst perfectly level and near a river!)

Alright, here's my shot. can't get a good shot of the elevator progress, but here's a little preveiw of my next project that I've done a little on:

Does the old Varney Aireotrain still run?

The story behind this train is about 10 years ago one of the older members of the train club i'm in, passed on to that "Big Roundhouse in the Sky". The club held an silent auction on some of his train collection and I was the only one that bid on the Varney A-train. I never got arround to see if it runs, I bid on it because the first time I seen the real one at the Museum of Transportation here in St Louis I liked it. I was just going to use it as a display model. Well one of these days I'll get to it. tkat

I'm back! got my Shotgun, pioneering, Enviromental science, and Motor Boating merit badges... fun.

no pictures right now, but there will be soon.

You all have posted awesome pictures. I have to say though, that if i were trainnut, i'd probably take a step back, with all those big locomotives on that thin little viaduct! the cars are so small! that is cool.

You know, I can not for the life of me remember where I took that. I was on a business trip that started in Dallas, TX, proceeded to Shreveport, LA, then down to New Orleans. I have the pictures titled as Mississippi river crossing but I can't seem to remember exactly where! It's driving me crazy. This next picture was taken just to the left of the previous viaduct shot.

EDIT: AHA!! Found it! It is the Airline Hwy crossing in Baton Rouge.

WOW!!!:eeki::eeki::eeki: YOU folks have done a GREAT JOB with this weeks thread!!!:yep::bravo: .

Kurt & Wayne, STUPENDOUS SHOTS!:worship: cripes, they look so real i feel as if i am there:winki::mrgreen::thumb: .

tomkat, NICE SWITCHER!!!:thumb: Your vest is quite AWESOME!!:thumb: i REALLY LIKE your Aerotrains:thumb: . i have a UP Aerotrain:mrgreen: (did you really think MINE would have been from another road:toug::119: ).

BRIEF HISTORY LESSON FOLKS: UP ran its Aerotrain as the "City of Las Vegas", it was commonly called "the crapshooter":winki: . UP ran the Aerotrain for only 9 months before selling it off to Rock Island:winki: . the Aerotrain was really ahead of its time, and the engine had the same primemover that the EMD SW1200's had in them, considering the cars were made of modified bus bodies, this train was lightweight, and fast:thumb: .

Ralph, i love the campsite by the tracks!:thumb::mrgreen:

CNWman, i cant wait to see those kits finished:thumb:

Tom, AWESOME ENGINES!:thumb:, the weathering is OUTSTANDING TOO!!!:winki::mrgreen:

Trainnut, GREAT UP SHOTS!!!:bravo: THANK YOU for posting them, the first one is my favorite:thumb: .

Mark, GREAT SHOTS!:thumb: those mannequins in the windows are REALLY NEAT!:winki::mrgreen: .

Larry, your engine facility is GREAT:thumb: , and the C&HV engines are FANTASTIC!:thumb: did you paint and letter those? , if so, SLAP AWESOME JOB!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

g_e_c, i echo the others, CONGRATS on the badges!:bravo:

Deano
Great looking locos! The Aero Train sure adds something to your collection!

Thanks everyone!

Tom--i love that location, and love that SD-9.did it come that detailed or did you detail it? if so it looks great

I bought the SD9 off of Brakie. In all honesty I now can’t remember how much detailing he did. I don’t remember adding much to the loco. All I really can take credit for is the weathering.
