It's Super 77 low mist adhesive. It pulling off the first layer of the cereal boxes I used was one of the worries I had before I even started building so I tested a couple of layer.

I used a thicker cardboard from a shirt packaging for the skeleton that seemed to be more like waferboard rather than layered like normal cardboard. Maybe that's why the whole top wing assembly hasn't fallen right over. It's rather heavy.

And thanks for the idea for a stand. Should be easy enough to do.

edit - to test the strength of the adhesive i sprayed a large metal washer and stuck it to another one. I figured that if it can hold smooth metal together, it should be good for modelling. That stuff has some real holding power! I couldn't pry them apart.

Done. As always...lousy picture taking.

Great job! And in record time too. In the past I'd heard this was a long, hard difficult build but you seem to have had a pretty good time of it. And weathered it to boot. Nice work indeed!

(2 thumbs up)

ps - Great work if you paint the toothpicks - um - cannon :p

Thanks for the kind words. This is by far my most enjoyable and satisfying build. I think the added aspect of having to laminate (my first one requiring it) gets me one step closer to being a pro...long way to go still :)

BTW, the weathering is already done on the model by the designer. I'd like to take credit, but....

Yeah, I'm just waiting for the next snowfall. It was 94 degrees here 2 days ago, but ya never know...a blizzard could happen any day. It IS Canada after all. :p

Very, very nice!!!

Lose the snow shovel, though. I'm trying to enjoy what passes for summer in Minnesota... ;)
