Nice scene, Ralph, and certainly a lot more interesting than my offering. The majority of my cars are either in staging (the three levels above) or in storage (the two levels below). :-D

Keep It Moving!
Now thats alot of penn central green!:thumb: Not very far away in the distant future, the big blue takes over...

this is a stand in for the port reading yard in South Amboy, NJ, although it can be any urban area. the interchange is also visible leaving the layout. Its nothing special yet, but it will be soon.

The other place cars congregate are at the interchange with Conrail and a private spur line that serves some of the industries in tighter to reach places...

Ralph: Great looking port scene..love all the PC green:thumb:
DoctorWayne: Your storage area below the Layout is a neat idea:thumb:
G.E.C.: Looking Good:thumb:

Here's a new yard we are putting together, it's more or less just a parking lot to store cars when we're not running them. We're going to set it up so it can be worked seperate from the layout but still tied in to it.

Hee hee! Yeah, that color shift to blue was inevitable but at least I can freeze time and keep it green on my layout! Wayne I admire your staging! Nice pics GEC and both of you Chessie guys!
Ralph

PS. It occurred to me that blue can indeed dominate my layout when I'm running equipment decorated for my freelanced railroad. It needs to have a touch of orange to it though. :) Here is a photo of all the current roster of locos, freight cars, and cabeese.

Lester,Great lookin' yard!

About posting photos.
There is 2 ways you can post photos..
1) In the reply box there is a paper clip icon..Click on that and a window will open. You will see "Manage Attachments" and then click on Browse. This will take you to your photos stored in your computer. You may have to click on my pictures once you get to your computer documents.
After choosing the picture you want click on upload and it will upload to the reply box..

2) I see you use "photobucket" like I do.I find it easier to click on the bottom IMG Code and copy and paste it here like so.

I hope this helps.

Oh Wayne, I apologize for being a little curt with you. Your suggestion for posts to support the porch on the Gaines Cannery was a good one. The thing is, when I'm done I'm done.

Sorry... PM me if you'd like a more detailed explanation of my mindset at the time.
