Man I haven't been here in awhile! Great pics guy's! I took these pics of my E7 a couple months ago when my Camera was unbroke! It's alot different now, got cork under the track, and a few scenaric stuff around there. I'm currently working on my west Abercorn St. of Savannah and a cut were this track is. I'll eventually post more when my Camera's fixed.

It wasn't hard at all. I really enjoyed painting that model, although when I bought it I didn't notice the ledge on the side that I had to paint. I want to do anther one and also want to do a SD80MAC.

Layout update

I have been asked about my photos from my old layout....they were taken on a small part of the layout that I kept & use for test track. Some of the old buildings will show up on the new layout but others were sold off or gifted to new guys getting into model railroading. The plan below was the last one I drew out but I have already found some changes that I want to make. This fall is the projected start date on these two doors.....I like to add scenery as I go because that is my favorite part. I will post photos as I get some track down.

trackplan.jpg

My new layout, #4, a bridge-line that takes place in Eastern Missouri, will connect the CB&Q near hiway 79, then west to Hawk Point then south along hiway 47 across the Wabash RR near Warrenton thru Missouri Wine Country to connect with MKT near hiway 94. Since this is "my" railroad most places will have the "flavor" of this area but maynot be perfect to the prototype. Time will be pre Burlington Northern (1970).
I'm now working out the final track plan and will dry-run on paper before any track goes down!
The things that will be different on this layout:
#1 This will be a point to point RR built on Hollow-core doors along two walls, so it will be in sections.
#2 It's going to be less track, no yard, no switch machines, open staging, & simple engine service area.
#3 Just a few small towns with one or two sidings.
#4 More open scenery between towns.
#5 Interchange with RR on each end.
#6 Keep everything simple so I can spend more time running then repairing!
I'm always open to comments and/or suggestions as I'm looking to learn anything that I can that could help make this hobby more fun!.....tkat

Mark, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!, for the link to the orange Mustang....i just ordered one:thumb: . i too have the red econoline, and a black one:mrgreen: , if i get time perhaps i will post them tonight:winki: . about 75% of the autos on my layout are Fords:thumb: , i am not going to post em all tonight:119: , but it will make you look at my future pics a little closer:winki::smilie: . THANKS again Mark!

tomkat, i REALLY LIKE how you are going to set up your NEW layout:thumb: . the ONLY thing i suggest is a run around track:winki: , i think if you added one you would find operations MUCH more enjoyable, and i think it would add longevity to your running on the layout without getting bored:winki:.....just MY thoughts:smilie: . in any case, i cant wait to see you make it come to life:thumb: .

KEEP THOSE PICS COMING FOLKS! :deano: -Deano
