Webdude, you need more thanks than I could ever give. I love Wacky Races, Stop the Pigeon and anything else to do with Dastardly and Muttley. Just started the clock plane and even she who must be obeyed sign1thinks it is brilliant. I am going to attempt to build as many as you design, including the Wacky Racers. Keep up the brilliant work and thank you again

Interesting...while I was purging duplicate posts from this thread I had one with and one without the attached files. I removed the one without the attachments yet now they seem to be gone from all the posts.... I'll shoot Peter a msg about it. If he can't fix it I'll upload them all again.

Just until the fix is in place....

I've msg'd Admin about the attachments issue but Peter is on family time right now (We "do" have lives away from cardmodeling) so we'll need to have a little patience.

In the meantime here's the first 6 in a single zip file.

Hey Webdude  again I am awestruck by your production speed. I aslo have a quick question

How do you get your textures onto the Pepakura models - do these come straight through from your 3D file* i.e. you just apply them in your 3D software and Pepakura is smart enough to do the rest, or do you apply them in Pepakura.

*is it Milkshape you still use?

I ask as for the life of me I'm using 3DS Max and have been unable to do either successfully :(

Very Best regards

Paul.

Paul,
Absolutely correct. Even though it's a low cost, low to medium polycount program Milkshape has a built in Texture mapper that I've not seen equaled yet. I export my models in Autodesk 3DS format and Pepakura handles the rest.

Part of the speed I owe to Pepakura2's new features like join/disjoin parts by clicking on the 3D model (after unfolding) and line removal/erasing by marquee selection,

Nearly 10 years of Milkshaping and no intention of changing.

Cheers Webdude :thumb:

I had a free trial of Milkshape which I had a play with, but it's so different to what I'm used to it was a like a PC user trying to learn a Mac - you just end up going back to what you know as you know the job will be so much easier.

That said I am going to have to get into Milkshape, even if it's just to texture models done in 3DS. Maybe once I get a feel for it I can try to learn it backwards.

Again, many thanks and best regards.

Paul.

Thank you Webdude

Many thanks for the downloads.
Administrators take note, this is the first time since the site changed that I have been able to follow the page links - well done.

Thank you malachite.
It is really nice when someone notices all your hard work.
I sure wish you would have said something sooner though because we were not aware of your problem. We could have fixed it sooner.
I guess with all the work going on behind the scenes your problem was fixed with out us knowing about it.
I'm glad it's working for you now though!
