Will take some pictures tonight, but I have a golden HO GP40 and a HO FA-1 that pulls my HO Union Pacific Passenger train. I only have a couple of pieces of HO UP rolling stock. Then in N scale, I have an E8 pulling a 5 car passenger train (soon to expand, just was given 3 more cars, although one is an another observation). I also have an sd70m that pulls either double-stacks or automaxes. Doesn't sound like much, but it is a 3rd of my tiny fleet. Basically, I model anything that comes through Utah, so I do Utah Railway, BNSF, and Union Pacific.

Deano I am also going to model UP as my primary railroad. Thats what I see the most of down here in Kansas. Plus I can run sw10 to dd40's and those colors look oh so pretty. I am allso going to be in sussex wisconsin in two days. Do you know of any good hobby stores around that area?

Hmm, three of us so far, when i joined this forum a little over a year ago, i only knew of about 3-4 others besides myself that had/was kinda into UP. if memory serves me right Chris Gilbert(he is no longer here:( , but he was a TOP NOTCH modeler:worship: ), and I were the ONLY two that SPECIFICALLY modeled UP. now a little over a year latter, i was real curious to see how many others i don't know about model the UP. i read a lot of threads on here, but its just impossible for me to read them all;) , hence, this is why i started this thread, to seek out any other UP modelers on this forum:up: .

jesso:wav: , i have checked out ALL your links at the bottom of your posts, you have some REAL NICE stuff going on:up: . i have read your ballpark thread before, i thought it was GREAT! your desktop layout is a FANTASTIC IDEA! i like a lot of your scenes on your HO layout too!
EDIT: as i was writing this post, you popped in a few more pics:up:. i feel for you on the passenger cars:( , to run the neat big stuff, really you need 30-32r to make them look good. though i like ALL your UP stuff;) , your N scale equipment REALLY LOOKS GREAT! on your neighbors GP20, did he make it a WP, or did he buy it that way?

Josh:wav: , you have UP stuff? ....sign1 JUST KIDDING!:toug: :119: you know i have seen ALL your GREAT LOOKING UP & CNW engines as i have commented on them SEVERAL times:up: . and YES, PLEASE POST 'EM!

roger:wav: , so your going to primarily model UP...THATS AWESOME!!! do you have a thread started on your progress? and if not, care to elaborate on scale, size, area, era you plan on doing it in, and how prototypical you care to do it? (do you think i ask to many questions?:119: ) AS far as hobby shops around the Sussex area...sorry but, I'm not sure:confused: , thats quite a long ways from me, but i would think surely there has to be some up in that part of the state;) . bring your camera, not too far from where you will be are UP:mrgreen: , CPR, WSOR, and CN lines...acording to my 2007 Wisconsin Railroads map:up: .

WELL, a BIG THANK YOU! , to you guys for chiming in on this thread:up: . i WILL be checking it daily, so feel free to pop in ANYTIME! perhaps there are more of us UP modelers/fans out there that haven't seen this thread yet, we'll see;) . -Deano

Hi,
On the GP20, that is the way it came. I would have thought it would be the other way around, a Western Pacific engine patched to be a Union Pacific. The really weird thing is, the Western Pacific is written in Union Pacific font. Maybe it is an early "heritage" unit.:)

Oh, I'm sorry....I thought this was Northern Pacific, not Union Pacific:eek:ops:

Well, I do have one piece of UP rolling stock:

Roll by 007 small.jpg

UP should take better care of their equipment!!!:gaptooth:

This happens to be my favorite piece of rolling stock. It was given to me and weathered by a friend (I think it is SLAP FANTASTIC!):winker: :thumby:

BTW...good luck to all you UP modelers!!!!!!!!

Technically I'm not an UP FANatic, but I do have that BLI UP AC6000CW I've posted photos of before.I'm more of an DM&IR,NP,CN,CP,BNSF & C&NW fan:),but the UP is good also.

By the way Deano, have you received your AC6000CW yet?I've seen a few on E-Bay and from looking at the pictures it seems they did put the ditch lights below the deck where they belong.

jesso, naw, it's not a heritage unit. i just went through about 10 folders of UP pics i have and found NO WP engines in UP colors like that:confused: , I'm not saying there wasn't any, but i have no proof of it;) . HOWEVER, MP had MANY engines in UP paint that had MP on the sides, after the UP/MP merger they were repainted to say Union Pacific;) .

something you might find interesting about the WP though, did you know they NEVER owned six axle engines, thats right, in fact the WP was still running F7's right up until the UP merger;) . after the WP merger, UP sold off 99% of WP's engines because they were just to old and in bad shape, on the other hand, UP kept MOST of MP's engines after the merger with them, and repainted them:up: .

Oh, I'm sorry....I thought this was Northern Pacific, not Union Pacific:eek:ops:

STEVE!!!:madd: ....sign1 NP instead of UP....:toug: sign1 I would expect nothing less from YOU:rolls: :119:  . and THANK YOU!, for the VERY KIND complement on your UP box:).

Chris, ANY friend of the CNW and has a BLI UP AC6000 is welcome here:up:  . and YES! I GOT MY BLI AC6000 just last week!    i have a pic of it, i am a little embarrassed to show it though because i am right in the middle of doing my NEW layout, so things are VERY FAR from finished:eek:ops: , but I'll post it;) . they DID move the ditch lights to the correct location on the second run! the horn is SPOT ON!, man i tell you what, of ALL my engines, the horn in this one sounds the BEST BY FAR! IT'S SLAP AWESOME!

zachary, UP and CSX, thats quite a stretch:119: ....I LIKE IT! if you end up getting the BLI AC6000 i GUARANTEE you WILL like it! it's BIG though, the wider the turns the better;) .

This thread seems to be taking off:up: , THANK YOU FOLKS!:)
