Deano, great weathering job on this car. Is this your dad’s layout?

Here is a shot of the backyard of my Wheeler Machinery Company.

Here's one that I have a particular fondness for. It's a high-angle view of Putney Yard on my Hudson Highlands RR layout. Set in the autumn of 1941, one can see most of the village of Putney, NY and its few small industries from this vantage point. Incidentally, that odd looking silver car the consolidation is spotting is a rare Laconia Mathieson dry ice reefer that's actually about as old as the depicted scene!

CNJ999: WOW! Beautiful fall scene..very colorful..
Tom: Fantastic Steamer shots.

Couldn't sleep last night so I went for a walk. For some reason I took the camera..glad I did, but was a little late on the trigger..Shot GM50 in the lead, but at night, and I wasn't fast enough for a clean shot..oh well try ,try again. :eek:ops:

As usual, loads of great photos here: too many to single out for individual comments. :thumb:
That said, however, welcome to CNJ999, and my compliments on the beautiful view of your layout. Hope to see lots more.

Nice pics guys!
Fresh out of the workshop today. An Athearn BB GP38-2, lettered for a imaginary shortline that will interchange with the my CNE. Its been detailed with free standing grabs, metal lifting eyes and a snowplow. A Details West beacon(non-operating)and the horns were relocated to the long hood. Micro-Scale decals and "dice and splice" lettering. Paint is Krylon "Fusion" with two coats of Krystal-Kote covering everthing. I did screw up and attatched the handrails before putting the "glass" in the cab, so the glazing is Evergreen .010" clear styrene cut to fit the window openings.

WOW!..Was wondering why my pics were so small, then I clicked on one and BAM!.....There it was....
