Thanks for the assist but I have ALL (and I mean ALL ! ) of them. ;)

I noticed a small mistake in the unfold. The "step" that is present on the sides is not apparent on the back side (the back is completely smooth), so I had to go back ( ;) ) to the mesh and fix it. That led to a vertical stretching of the back doors which made them look more natural. :)

I am glad that you have everything that you need for such. thumbsup
I am glad that you were able to catch that small problem and was able to fix it! thumbsupthumbsupthumbsup

Isn't it funny to spot all the familiarities with BSG in the show? If you look closely in this lightned up image you can clearly see the original Landram turret hidden inside the tower.

In a way it is a very good thing that all props had to be done on a tight budget in a very short time frame. So the designs were kept simple and are easy to replicate. ;)

Yes, I did catch that. :rolllaughing:
I am glad to see that you are doing the one from the first episode. This will tie in quite nicely with (and even complement) the TF. thumbsup

Did you notice that the basic colour is not white but an off-white, similar to the TF? I have chosen the same colour Martin has used for the TF paper models. The colour of the stripes was matched, too. :)

I did indeed. That is why I have been making the comments that I have.
As always, you are doing an exceptional job with this model.

Thank you ... BUT: Studying the printed parts I noticed a rather tricky area at the nose where you would have to put your fingers inside to glue the nose in place. However, the hole was too small. So I went back and did something I did not want to do but which made the model much easier to build: I combined the upper and lower chassis into one piece. That led to fewer parts and a more logical assembly, and one parts page was saved. Unfortunately that changed the plans for the interior. Not much but adding the interior now requires some surgery because you will have to cut the chassis into four parts again to get the original configuration. Nothing bad but, well, it's a bit more work now. :)

Hi Jenny, I have changed the pattern to make it easier to build. The parts I sent you are buildable but please wait till the coloured version is ready. The sheets are printed but I haven't had the time to test them yet. I'll be getting back to the Rover once I have finished the Jack-o-lanterns: http://zealot.com/threads/yamaha-jack-o-lantern-customized-unfold.179556 . :)

NICE!!!
The alpha build looks very good so far!!!
It looks like it will be easier than the Landram to build.

The size is very good. Not too small, not too large. Print it at 50 % and it is in Matchbox scale. The undercarriage is a small PITA; I think I'll cut off the "bumper" which is still on the top half and attach it to the undercarriage. The rest flies together very well! BTW, I skipped cutting and recessing all the windows to be faster. The kit contains the bits and pieces to recess all of them, so if you have the time, your model will look even better than mine. :)
