Hi fans,

a few months ago my dear friend @Rhaven Blaack found a model of the Regula 1 space station on his HDD which he had downloaded from the web some time ago. The kit is entitled "Fed_Base_464" and consists of a 5-page PDF with parts, a series of build pics which are rather blurry and a text description file in German. The PDF was created on 08-07-2009. There is absolutely no hint of the original designer of the model or the kit. We would like to ask you to help us to find out who is behind this kit. So if you have any ideas or if you know who has made this kit, please feel free to state the info here.

Well then, that's all for the moment. Stay tuned because the first pics will follow tomorrow. CU! :)

Main module complete.

The model reminds me of the BSG models I have unfolded (Colonial One, Colonial Movers, Raptor). A quick google search led me to this picture:

So it is possible that this model is based on the station from the game "Armada".

So far I have found out some things which could be improved. Several parts have been cut into two halves which have to be joined together. This leads to two joints whereas there could only be one. The texture is very nice but the model is fairly small which makes it an ideal candidate for war gaming. In addition, the area around the hangar opening is very fiddly to assemble which leads to a rather sloppy result. I'll print a complete version of the hangar bay frame onto the model to clean things up a bit.

@Mikos WELCOME BACK!
It is a GREAT LOOKING model! You did a GREAT JOB on designing this model.
I was wondering if it would be OK with you if we could host your models in the RESOURCE SECTION? You will be credited at the designer. Not only that, but you will have the ability to remove the models at your discretion.

Hello... :)
I'm sorry, but my life has some little changes and now there are not really time for builds. :(
It ok to host the station. :) Rhaven and if you have any other model from my old HP, don't ask, feel free to host it. :)
By the way Zathros... I've always been here. ;)

Since the mystery behind the model has been solved I have updated the title of the thread.

@Mikos : That's looking great! I'd love to tackle her; she would make a formidable companion to the first one. The unfold of the first station (the one I'm currently building) is really good. As I said before, the model is buildable but there are a few parts which should be joined in order to reduce the number of the parts and the seam lines. A few folding lines could be deleted, too. In addition, the model could be a tad bigger. I have sent you a PM. It would be great if you could send me the files. :)
